Guild Wars 2

I want my build to focus on my pet but I’m not sure how to back it up or what weapons/ skills to choose.

So far im using a gs and lb with a 20026 set up

lb works well but the gs has issues in my opinion though I figure I need it for when an opponent decides to get close or I’m running a dungeon.

pve, wvw or pvp???

a very simple way to make you pet hit like a truck is to go at least 3 natures magic and use a main hand axe, you pet will have 15 -25 stack of might on it most of the time

MH Axe is nice for condition builds and tagging mobs, but not dungeons. MH Sword with a Strength sigil, Companion’s Might Trait and Fortifying Bond will maintain 25 stacks pretty easy and do loads more damage.

I can’t recall the build but the one I made (for dps purposes) was entirely focused on giving my pet massive might stacks. I used the bird with blinding slash since it was a low cooldown and rather quick to get off.

I had a bit of a play around and you can make a pretty nice build around your pet, this one would be good for PvE, WvW not so much. Used cheap foods and exotic gear so you could make the stats better. Pet DPS. Tons of might stacking, minimum 8 stacks with 100% uptime (for you, your Ferny would have 6, the stalker would get 16), plus the stacks you get on crits and transfer to your pet plus the ones from Pounce, they should have 25 stacks pretty much all the time. Pack runes and warhorn for more might, fury and swiftness. Pet centered traits, but with good damage from yourself too. Three health regeneration sources for yourself (almost 300hp/s) and pet (almost 500hp/s), Sic Em, QZ and SoTW for lots of damage when you get all buffed up. Looks like fun!

Edit: Oh yeah, you have the water field you can leap with Monarch on sword and blast with the horn too, plus your ferny has a leap to finish also, just swap to it when you use HS and if there is a mob, it will use the leap immediately, healing you both.
