So I hit 80 one or two days ago and have been tinkering with the stats since then. I’ve been toying about with the shortbow mainly as it’s my own preference and would like some outside input on the pros/ cons of two different builds: ravager and berserker.
Wearing full fine rampager gear, I find my base attack to be in and around 122-134 damage on lv 80 mobs. My crit is 48%, but only 25% damage. Each stack of bleeding that I inflict does 76-77 damage.
Now wearing full fine berserker gear, I find my base attack to be in and around 140-16o (couldn’t write 160?) damage to lv 80 mobs. My crit is 39% and does 65% damage. Each stack of bleeding that I inflict does 53 damage.
So this means that in rampager gear, I lose anywhere between 10 and 40 damage per standard hit and my crits lose 40% of their effectiveness while only gaining 9% in frequency.
However what has me teetering between the two is the condition damage. While I might lose quite a bit from my standard and critical attacks, if I’m able to hold several stacks of bleeding on a foe where every stack would do an additional 23 damage per second, and with most mobs being able to easily stack and maintain a minimum of 6, that’s a potential easy 138 extra dps from bleeding alone not to mention what could be added by poison.
So I’d just like a bit of outside input. What do you guys prefer? Is there anything else that I should be taking into consideration? Thanks very much.
I’m sorry if I sound like a bit of a scrub, but I’ve basically been playing this game solo for a majority of the time just meandering my way to 80 and checking the wiki as needed, I’ve never really even come to the forums before, so please bear with me if this is something that is generally considered trivial.
