Just curious as to what sigils people are using on their longbows. Im still undecided as to what to use.

I have to use accuracy in order to get up to 42% mated w/ fire. I’d like to use chill and fire together.

A couple of combos I use:
WvW/PvP Zerked out (60260)- Air & Nulification, Air & Torment. For Nasty Burst – Air & Fire, Air & Intelligence (for intel you need RtW).

I’ve seen a few posts state Ice is great for kiting, but I have not used it yet.

An additional question: Anyone experienced with the up time on Strength? If coupled with +might duration runes I imagine we could keep a few stacks constantly rolling.

tbh, I’ve been tossing major runes (if available) in just to see how often things proc. I’m ending up salvaging a lot of my existing exotic gear to recover the sigils/runes. <sigh>

I’m using Fire and Ice

I’m using fire and air currently but I’ll probably swap out fire for ice.

Air + Fire – Glorious on Assassins setups… dem railguns (piercing arrows + RTW + rapid fire into a zerg. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIC)

Fire & Bloodlust atm. When I have decent funds together I want to add Fire/Torment, and a Peril/Frailty to the bag of toys.

Air and Fire. Natch.

Stacking bow is bloodlust and ice atm but ice is not worth it. You’re more likely to kill the guy out right with air and fire than try to kite with it. Ice makes more sense on the SB as there’s no penalty on range and your AA is so fast that you have more chances to proc when the ICD is over. Kiting on sub 1k range LB is like eating Skittles to try to get vitamin C.

Earth is not bad for zerg surfing with barrage, especially if you take the minor bleed trait and use it along with sharpening stone. I’ll probably slap that on my stacking bow.

And don’t waste the gold on str rune and sigil. It’s amazing for eles since they self buff so well already and most run some form or arcana for more boon up time, but not worth it for a ranger at 10 gold per rune. Your stalker gives you 5 stacks for free now that it’s way more responsive.

Sigil of Accuracy for the 7% crit chance and Sigil of Strength for insane might stacking continuously.

When ever I use bows, and that is rarely these days, I constantly swap between LB and SB while skills are on cool down.

Since I like stacking might, I have had sigils of battle in both bows for a long time, and just recently added sigils of air to both bows.

Sigil of Rage and Sigil of Air.

That extra quickness combined with Zephyr’s Speed, Quickening Zephyr, and Read the Wind can pretty much make sure that everything dies, and dies quickly.

I have a seperate bow for stacking bloodlust since you can keep your stacks by using aquatic weapons currently.

I really wish I could salvage Karma gear, because I have 6 Runes of Exuberance on them, and its just sitting in my bank, not being used right now……..

Bloodlust and Peril

for spirit build: sigil of fire and sigil of smoldering.

for zerker build: sigil of accuracy and sigil of fire.

With zerker celestial mix: Earth & Doom

I know what you are thinking, but with 500 in condition damage it does nice damage. The bleeding passes through targets and bleeds multiple, but doom only hits first.

I also use Air and Fire for fun but it damages a little less than earth and doom most of the time.

Bloodlust and Peril

I use bloodlust on my sword. That way I get stacks as I progress through dungeons (this is not optimal but I’m not that obsessive.) It doubles as allowing me to have bloodlust up in WvW while still having two sigils on my bow. I am naturally using a sword by the time I finish people, so it stacks up pretty quickly.

Fire and Air. Those dual procs are so strong.

Force and Accuracy in PvE since I don’t want to make multiple weapon sets and this way it’s useful for all builds, but I’m going to experiment with Fire and Air in future PvP after seeing the posts here.

Fire and Air just for having a little bit of fun, not sure if it is the best combination.

Remorseless build with vulnerability runes.

Energy and Force.

I’ve been trying out Strength and Accuracy with Runes of Strength.
Works out fairly well, but i do miss the Fire or Air extra damage so i may swap out Accuracy for one of the 2.
