I’m sure there are lots of these threads, but please bear with me.

My ranger is currently around 55.

I had a Thief at 80 for a short while that I deleted. I realized that you can’t go all-out power/crit and that you’ll need some defensive stats.

So what should I aim for in terms of offensive and defensive stats? What kind of gear to get?

I’m looking to mainly use a longbow, with axe/torch or axe secondary.

You deleted your theif? Aside from rolling the polar opposite of the Theif, I went with Power, Toughness, Vitality, healing power, using the Dwayna full set. Others will tell you other ways of being effective. Went with Zerker with most of my accessory slots.

Plenty of rangers go full berserker and enjoy it.

Longbow is a power weapon. Axe/torch is a condition set. I don’t understand why you would want to combine the two.

Try Pow, tough, vit and put some power,tough, crit in accessories.
This is mostly for dungeons since it doesn’t matter in the open world map.

I would only recommend Full berzerker if you got a Guardian in the team that got a support build.

But since you choose axe/torch I suppose you are not very fond of going into close combat.
