What type of build is this...
Looks like a fairly standard apoth build using axe/dagger & sword/torch. Your lucky he was using felines because all that build needs is a bit of hard cc so he can have a couple seconds to dump every condition on you at once. He wasn’t lacking condition damage, he just lacked the cc to hold you in place, therefore missing many skills.

Heh, I wasn’t the Thief. I ran across the video in the forum and became curious. It seems pretty tanky. The regen and protection, what are those from?

He’s using dwayna runes on his armor, that is where the regen comes from.
As said above, looks like a fairly normal regen BM (apothecary/settlers armour, dwayna runes and probably something like 0/0/30/10/30).
Pretty effective for almost no effort, especially since he was running all 3 signets (and never used their actives, not that I can blame him) and was running master bond on his jaguar so didnt want to change pets even.
Weaknesses include CC spam, sustained longrange attacks and opponents with strong cleansing who know how to kite a pet, but really its a bunker build so its never going to go down easily in a 1v1.
Gunnar’s Hold
I would actually use my Actives on my Ranger if they actually worked on me.
Having to invest 30 points in a line to get the same bloody ability as everyone else is bloody stupid.

They really should have made it so that the actives affect the ranger by default, and can be traited to affect the pet as well… but thats a topic for another thread :P
Gunnar’s Hold
or affect both from the start, and the GM trait buffs signets in another way .
