Kind of new to 80, and was just curious if I was missing something with sigils and how some of the Ranger’s abilities work. For ele’s it’s obvious to go with Sigil of Battle because of attunement changing for example. If there anything obvious like that for rangers?

I was thinking about Sigil of Blood for shortbow because the rate of fire, but I don’t know what to put on my axes, gs, sword, dagger, warhorn, etc. Any ideas?

Depends entirely on your spec and also what combination of sigils and weapons you use, to start what type of damage are you gearing for and what content do you have in mind?

Yeah, like Manekk says, sigil choice depends on what you are trying to accomplish, and also your play style. For example, if you have a low crit chance (factoring in how much/little Fury you have access to), you’ll want to avoid the on-crit sigils.

Once you know your focus, you can also use the stack-on-kill sigils on one or two of your weapon sets to get your 25 stacks, then switch to weapons with different sigils. For example, I run a healing/bunker beastmaster and have weapons with Sigil of Life. Once I get my 25 stacks of Life I sometimes switch a few pieces of armor to improve my crit chance (and reduce my healing power), and also a +precision SB with an on-crit sigil. So, I can maintain my healing via the stacks of Life, but get the on-crit bonuses. It’s not perfect system, but you get the idea.

I use a similar approach to sling: keep a backup weapon with stacking to use at the start(usually sb or axe for tagging in a zerg), then swap back to my main weapon. Using an approach like that will allow you to keep some crit/crit dmg pieces if you choose to.

So far, my most used sigils are: Life, Fire, Force, and Energy. If I’m running two melee sets I usually go with double Energy for swapping; otherwise I go with one Energy on melee and Fire/Force on the bow(with Life on a backup bow/axe).

I run a 30/30/0/0/10 build with Traveler’s/Explorer’s gear because I mostly farm right now, but other than Sigil of Luck I have on my shortbow, I don’t want to base my other weapons/sigil choices on farming. My next set of gear will probably be some kind of damage hybrid(whether that’s pwr/prec or condi dmg).

I usually keep dual axes equipped as my secondary, but I sometimes switch to shortbow. I want to start to use GS and Sword/Torch-Dagger too. My main question was that if there were any sigils that lent themselves to the playstyles of the different weapon sets.
