As the title says.

I don’t think it really matters.
I’m used to chosing the shortest race

I chose Norn for the flavor.

That’s also why I chose a Charr Engineer, Asura Mesmer and Human Guardian.

Asura have the best racial (Confusion combo field) for almost any class, and the Ranger is no different.

Sylvari is also good for an extra CC, an extra wolf pet or a 3-second invulnerability that also spawns up to 6 turrets. But really the Asura racial is the best by far.

Pain Inverter (Asura skill) is pretty insane for WvW in small fights, but outside of that, your race doesn’t really matter. Just pick the one you like the looks of the most.

Racials matter in PvE and W3. If you don’t care about the racial abilities, then it’s just about aesthetics. If you do care about racials for PvE and W3, don’t choose Norn. They’re terrible.

I’d say that Humans and Asura probably have the best racials for Rangers (in my opinion).
