It actually is an improvement. Give it time and get used to it as it has more player control now than before. Not to mention, we won’t lose the 2nd half of it as long as we aim it before a cliff or a wall and have faster access to the CC portion when distances are close.

Dont you have a keybind to snap the ground target to the selected enemy? i think there is a option for that so you can press a button and your path of scars will be locked into your target.

Path of scar is an incredibly easy skill to dodge (first hit). The return home in on the thrower allowing for repositioning. The timing of the return hit can be adjusted based on you distance to your target.
Snap to ground target is almost a guarantee miss on both the out going axe and incoming. Path of scar is a big telegraph but for me the return hit is the most important. The retrun hit and the return pull are separate damage (from what I remember from testing).
Snap to ground target is not the solution.

Path of scars is a lot better now, if I know I can hit my target I can just throw it right on top of them to guarantee the second hit will land too, if not I can always throw it a bit further and then position myself so that the second hit will land. It also isn’t useless near cliffs and walls now.
