Why don't rangers buff the group pre match
I know this isnt the most exciting topic, i just dont understand why more rangers dont use it.
There are signs when a ranger is bad
-using a lightning wyvern in a competitive match= bad.
-using sbow = usually bad.
-not using a low cd heal to help everyone get to their locations faster = bad.
Thinking you know another character’s build better than the person playing it=Bad.
If you’re playing with them at all, the matching making thinks they’re roughly as skilled as you are. You want to show how to play a ranger, PLAY ONE.
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

He has a point, though….
If you don’t use WHaO to give swiftness at the start (when your team doesn’t have a Herald), you are not playing smart. The OP’s experience on the matter is irrelevant.
It hasn’t been my experience that people don’t buff each other at the start. I certainly use a shout or two, and I generally see other rangers do the same.
What I rarely see is staff 3 to stack swiftness/might/stealth. IMO these group buffs far outweigh the single movement you get out of it before the fight starts and it has recharged.

Something tells me you’re the type of person who uses smoke scales f2 on point and wonders why the point was lost o.O … or you kitten with LB + Bristleback and think you’re God …..

I mean, sometimes people don’t run the meta build and don’t have WHaO or The trait, and sometimes people just don’t think about it because they think someone else will provide it or are worried to pop their heal shrugs
Personally, I’ll pop it even if I think my team will provide swiftness themselves, but there are some cases where I swap my build up so I’m running survival skills over shouts (like if I’m noticing there’s been 3 necros on every team for the past 6 games and I’m getting sick and tired of being flooded with condis every 2 seconds)
