Why have you nerfed the Ranger again?
Like i have said for months it’s because a high up in anet plays a thief just like the air rune nerf and any other counter to stealth thief it will be nerfed
engineer- “this wasn’t part of the deal, you said that every class would be able to do great damage and operate independently”
Anet- “i have altered the deal, pray i don’t nerf you further”
is this true?…cause i am a trap playing ranger and i notice that I have to work abit harder to kill in PvE. Sometimes i have to run viper trap (3 traps in total) just to take down a mass of mob.
It’s pretty hilarious seeing the ranger, the most UP class in the game, continue to get nerfed patch after patch. I remember when rangers were actually viable options back in the betas. That was a long time ago.
So are you saying conditions just don’t stack in duration anymore? Is this conditions only applied by traps, or conditions in general? Like burning from torch?
Either way if you can record some solid evidence of this bug, it’s going to be a lot more productive if you post this in the bug section and not complain about it in the Ranger subforums.
I’m gonna call BS, the only reason this would occur is if conditions no longer stack, which is false, they still do stack. That being said i was just in WvW and running with a trapper ranger and his fire trap was stacking with no issues, the only trap he used that -didn’t- stack condis was spike trap, but that’s because spike trap only hits once.

I just tried it again this morning and it seems it was just a tooltip bug of some kind as the condition duration was stacking normally now.
It still feels like something was changed though as I could’ve sworn that the flame trap condition duration was longer before when stacked. Currently (with the Ranger trait to increase trap condition duration), the fire duration goes up to 5 seconds (milliseconds not visible) and it ticks three times in total. So that means traps tick every second.
I’ve had Flame trap in my skill bar for a very very long time and it feels like the ticks are slower than it was before.

IT does feel slower but not as big compared to that 40ms “animation” bug.
I cant understand why Anet works this way?Is stealth fixes and nerfings happen in every mmo?Cant we get an official report that something changed or not?I havent played yet and i dont use traps but i need to know..
Traps have not been changed. Condition duration is stacking the same as always. I just went to the mists and tested my trap damage. In full carrion/nightmare, my three traps are just enough to kill the heavy golem – the same as they’ve always done.
