Because it’s a juvenile wolf. All the animals that can be tamed in this game are the juvenile (younger/teenager) versions of their adult counterpart. As of right now, pets can’t grow up permanently, but there is a skill that let’s your pet become bigger for a few seconds.
So our pets are trapped in an ageless state… and can never really die…

I’d like to see pets scale slightly, according to their owner’s level.
Not a lot, but enough to be noticeable, if you had an 10 & an 80 standing close together.
It’s alright dude, see, it’s not the size that matter but what you do with it :P

I was tempted to play an Asura ranger because as a norn my pets look quite teenie especially wolves=D I also would like to see them start really small based on the level of the ranger, even smaller then they are now, then grow up quite a bit bigger (but not too big to be annoying)
