Wilderness 5 Natural Vigor. Reduced the increased endurance regeneration from 50% to 25%.

WTH! Ranger is supposed to be about movement not less movement. This a stupid, braindead design decision and I am kittening kitten ed as ranger is my main and played him the most, over 1700 hours. Why the kitten is this remotely considered to be kittening implemented when it doesn’t make a lick of sense.

Give ranger more powerful hits and screw nerfing. Why don’t you sort out the vets that have more hp than champs, like the inquest guy by the megadestroyer volcano.

Not even just passive endurance regeneration. In many cases they are also limiting traits that proc the vigor buff itself as well. Limited the amount of time the vigor boon will be applied.

I am not happy about this nerf either. Frankly, I rely way to heavily on dodge and this is going to result in a lot of deaths until I adjust. This is going to be a serious l2p issue for me until I do this.

However, OP, as you have been told, Rangers are not the only ones getting an endurance nerf.

I saw your blow up over this in the general forum. Really. It is that much of a deal? Do you think exploding like that is going to get Anet to change anything other than deleting that thread (which they did), and remove any chance Anet will ever listen to you again?

Yes, it sucks. Even if we were the only ones getting hit, if it is that big of a deal to you, why stay?

Good post Gregori. Why stay indeed? Because I have played nearly 4000 hours so I am bit emotionally attached so I will get heard/hurt no matter how I phrase it. I will get heard/hurt because thats how I am. And I will be heard/hurt and I don’t care which because I am stubborn and excessively angry.

One thing you need to remember when reading balance discussions or patch notes: leave your emotions at home. If you consider this change from an objective point of view, you easily notice that a 5 point investment minor trait that grants +50% endurance regen at all times is way too strong. It was nice while it lasted, but it had to come down eventually. I just wish they’d indeed consider all adept minor traits that grant easy access to endurance regen.

the nerf is huge, it will hurt a lot. Same happen with quickness remember, it was a nerf for “every class” but it affected rangers more than anyone well same will happen here. Again just another patch full of nerf for an already struggling class, well honestly not like i was expecting much from the devs and i dont know why you guys keep your hopes up after all this time (1.5 years) with the same, nerf and nerf and nerf.

Oh poor rangers.
Mesmers and guardians can gain 5s vigor when delivering a critical hit(5s CD).
(Dueling/Honor Adept Trait)

Dodging for rangers? No way
You can only gain 5s vigor when you are struck by a critical hit. (15s CD)
and using a healing skill
or Lightning Reflexes.

(or, when swapping to a moa, bird, or jellyfish pet. Who will use Beastmastery Traits?)

Rangers = meats
That’s what you likely to eat. (e.g. in WvW)

I don’t understand how they can claim Natural Vigor is “wildly overpowered” when the guardian and mesmer get these traits:

Vigorous Precision: For 5 points in Honor you gain 5 seconds of vigor on a critical hit
(5 second cool-down)
Critical Infusion: For 5 points in Dueling you gain 5 second of vigor on a critical hit
(5 second cool-down)

So 50% passive regen that doesn’t stack with vigor is overpowered, but permanent vigor is not? It is this sort of thing that makes me lose confidence in the developers.

And that same class has stealth, teleports, well designed utility, and well designed AoE effects.

And then the other class has the largest health pool, wears heavy armor, has easy access to condition removal, easy access to condition invulnerability, many viable weapon sets, a very strong healing skill without the need to invest in healing power, and can achieve extreme stun uptime.
