Any other rangers out there playing the class for the longbow? Well if you are then you are not alone. I shelved my ranger while I wait for changes but after playing the rifle warrior I would give almost anything to either have rapid fire just renamed and changed into something like kill shot, or have hunters shot buffed to do damage, maybe have a trait like thieves mug that makes hunters shot hit for 4k like mug makes steal.

Id also love them to bring read the wind back, maybe it makes longbow arrows move twice as fast, and maybe a 20-30% damage buff to longbow and possibly more range on it just to make more sense than having the same range as shortbow. Maybe make signets affect both master and pet without being traited, I mean, wtf, why would they only affect the pet? Make pets take 90% less damage from aoes, and maybe have their health and armorscale with ours, maybe make them able to hit moving targets by making their animations much faster or instant.

Im not worried about the class, Im sure anet will do what is needed. Once they fix the traits and make pets actually work on moving targets who knows how this class will be. Until then give me your wish list on longbow changes and who knows, anet devs might read this and get some good ideas.

after many nights of experimenting with builds in spvp and tpvp, i have also decided to shelve my ranger after becoming convinced that the recent SB nerf greatly reduced the effectiveness of my favourite build. the prof requires a lot of work and i just hope ANet responds reasonably soon.

I like the ideas, keep them coming. Gw2 didnt disappoint me, just the ranger class.
