What title says…what pet is best?

I’m talking PVE non dungeons.

For me…and its only anecdotal

For under water….. shark….heck it got a boost.

More importantly, on land, and I don’t know why, try ice drake….see for your self.

yeah for pve drakes still do good aoe, especially when BM’ing

I love and use only the Reef Drake overall, land and underwater. Tried them all, extensively. Big Red is quite a beast

Birds. They nerfed Blinding Slash, but oddly enough increased the Slash damage by 15%. So, they do more sustained damage overall. I stopped using felines after seeing Maul crit for 1.5k, it’s a sad sight since I’m so used to seeing it around ~4k. But I can’t complain – <3 birds IRL.

E/ Oh, and don’t forget to trait for vigor on pet swap, Vigorous Training is great.

For raw damage go bird or go home. Drakes are also good for their cleave, dogs for their knockdown and cripple.

Birds deal more damage per hit, but have a much slower attack speed than cats. I’ll have to run some tests to see which has better DPS.

UPDATE: after a bit of unscientific testing in the mists, cats are still the kings of DPS, at least vs. birds.

Duel dogs! You can get two cripples, two knockdowns, a fear, and an immobilize… can’t beat that if you are a power/crit based build trying to keep your opponent’s movement minimized

Unless you’re playing PvE where the only thing that matters is bigger numbers.
