How do you get the recipe to make Superior Rune of Perplexity? Can you?

Well I guess if this build doesn’t work anymore it doesn’t matter. This is 1 year old based on what I looked up.

Naa it doesnt work. xsorus himself mendtioned that Technobabble+ plex is a bad combo cus they both do the same thing – locking the target from making actions. Technobabble builds are viable but inconsistent, like msot theme gimmik builds.
But ya, you can buy Rune of Perplexity on TP, i dont think you can get the recipie anymore.

Decent videos overall. Pretty solid gameplay.

Only major thing I disagree with is placing pets on the “aggressive stance.” Perhaps I’m missing something, but the ability to actually control the pet a lot better with “guard” (and commanding when to attack) seems to only really have advantages. It requires a bit more micro on your part, but it just adds a dynamic new aspect to the class and raises the skill cap especially when it comes to power ranger.

Its possible that I’m just missing something, however, and if that is the case please inform me, since I’ve only spent 65 hours on ranger.

Your pet stance is not that important. You’re constantly spamming attack and return during fights.

I keep mine on aggressive because if I get overwhelmed, I’d rather have my pet attacking than doing nothing.

Appears its just a taste thing. I’ve always found that I’d rather have the pet keeping close to be unless I tell it to go somewhere. And keeping it on guard makes it easier to control exactly the non-activation skills like dog knockdowns and spider immobs. Also prevents pet from wandering into areas and just dying.

So a good example of why I don’t like the aggressive pet stance is at 7:30 where a dog knockdown is wasted on a 1/4 HP scout instead of being used on any of the other targets. Also a little confused in the fight with the thief (and the guard coming in halfway through) why you didn’t use technobabble to interrupt the thief’s stealth. Used it when the thief was moving away from you and not doing any actions.

Having your pet on passive close to you most of the fight will allow for more control, sure. It will also mean a major loss in dps. I prefer having my pet dealing as much damage as possible, meaning I let it run on aggressive. Control it through F1 & F3.

I’ve seen so many videos of rangers that either a) have their pets on passive, not contributing to the fight at all, or b) players that forget they have pets, allowing them to die needlessly (forgetting to swap, for example).

Ikr, oh well, guess I’ll have to keep putting that $10 a week away for gems, so I can buy 20,000 when I get home then buy new armors and weapons etc, take a holiday and hit WvW for like 3 months straight hahaha!

Your videos are really selling me on trying those Defender Runes … I’m going to have to suck it up and put SotH back on my bar and try them out :-p

my honest opinion… seems like you didnt do much beside run around.. I don’t see any challenging situation and good play, it looked boring and your damage is low, no good mechanic applicable just a dull game play and you focused on trying to dps even with a low damage out put. you used Celestial Avatar and did not seems to do much and in the end you just had to run away since you really cannot help in the battle. soon enough people will realize that when you see a druid, all you have to do is it since droods cant kill you will heals lol, focus the dps and kill droods after or just watch it runaway either way they don’t matter and its a waste to try and catch druid too. that is just my opinion and this video just proves there is no good outcome for this class in future beside running around and healing while trying hard to dps and it showed how the game is broken now since most player does not play skillfully anymore and if you noticed they players that got healed stating to carelessly play. this mechanic of a focused heal not only made the game look dull but also same as the other game.. most people will decide why play this game that gone back to the traditional mmo when there are games out there that have a good community and developers actually listen to their players???
