Very interesting use of pets and signets! Great weapon choices as well.
My question would be (of course) your build. I’ve tried analyzing your video and I’m confused by a few things:
- You’re running with 2/3rds of your utilities as signets, yet you don’t spec with Signet of the Beastmaster. Its clear you’re into the Marksman tree with Opening Strike (perhaps as deep as 25 points).
- Its unclear how deep into Skirmishing you are, but you’re 15 points in with both Swiftness and Fury on weapon swap. Its difficult to tell without a gratuitous amount math if you’ve maxed this tree out.
- Your pet swaps do not give you Quickness and appear to be the untraited 20 seconds, which means you’ve invested no points into Beastmastery – despite the fact you’re using your pet as the primary DPS (signets with no Signet of the Beastmaster).
- Your Quickening Zephyr is on a reduced cooldown of 48 seconds (down from 60) and you do not gain Protection on a dodge roll, so you’ve only invested 10 points into Wilderness Survival.
- EDIT: Also noticed you do not gain Regeneration at 75% health, so no points into Nature Magic.
If I had to guess, you’re a glasscannon 30/30/10/0/0 build. If that’s the case, you should consider swapping out your signets OR consider my bullet points above.
I recommend, if you want to use a signet build, focus on your pet and move points from Skirmishing to Beastmaster to amplify your pet more. Or you can reassign some talents and build off of Signet of the Beastmaster.

His build is very similar to mine(see signature) except for a couple of trait differences and pet choices. I use Black Raven and Owl for my pets. I also switched my gear around so that I have every stat as a glass cannon would have except I lowered my Power by 500 and increased my healing by 500 or so. Basically I hit like a glass cannon, but have a decent amount of Regeneration/Survivability with healing spring. I posted my build and info in a thread a while back. If anyone is interested, let me know and I’ll link it.

dunno dude, there’s lots of people that click since gw1 and if you don’t see a vid them clicking you would’ve never guessed.
Using 1h Sword you are already miles ahead of most, good job on that choice it is our best weapon by a country mile.
Did you show your build and stats?
Sword is a great weapon, but recently I found a way to make the SB do 2x the amount of damage and less risk as your sword does.
I’ve gone back to using my sword as more defensive weapon and using horn or torch as my damage or combo fields while I use the SB to destroy targets.

I’d be very interested in reading your build. It’d be great if you could link it to me.

Heres the link: DPS with Survivability.
With this setup I can take on any class 1v1 and 1vs2. But a good 2H warrior or a bunker Guardian will give you trouble.

I just saw your #5 video linked in a thread on the WvW board. Could you share your build please? You get quite a bit more damage from the SB than I am getting. It actually looks quite useful in your videos
