Lately, iv’e been looking into creating the best possible build for long-term survival in WvW. The old BM builds were a great way of obtaining this, but i never really liked the shortbow that much. It lacked a certain punch, not to mention utility in siege against castles and keeps.

So, HP/tank/healing was what i ended with.

The build itself gives you moderate power, and a steady 2000~ish damage on the LB over range. It also offer you insakittenup support in the form of spamming “Guard”, i also carry with me a warhorn. And the combination of shouts and WH #5 means you can apply permanent Swiftness to a striketeam, or semi-permanent swiftness to a zerg.

If you spec a little different and aim a bit more at evasion, like swapping axe/WH for dagger, the thiefs will hate you due to high HP pool and high regen. You’ll die to a skilled thief, but to be fair, a well played thief can beat almost anything.

One question…why do you have Vigorous Spirits if you don’t use any Spirits?

If defending castles, i use Spirit of Frost/Spirit of Fire to boost my comrades. Bear in mind, i ONLY do WvW. and while this setup DOES work well in dungeons and roaming around Orr, it is not a pureblood PvE gear. It is meant for WvW.

i must also correct myself on the LB damage, it should be 1200~ish at range (last night i was running in party with 2 guardians giving me loads of might stacks :| )

oh ok cool, i’ve been doing wvw lately and i’m completely lost in builds lol, i’ll have to check this out.
