Figured why not get a change of pace from the latest gripes … and a distraction from our “wait and see” with what’s going to happen with all our expected changes. Plus I’m curious what you other Rangers are listening to. I’ve enjoyed several times on TeamSpeak where those I’m playing with and I are just linking music to each other while we do something “less involved” in-game.
I find this song to be a good one for Ranger’s since many of us enjoy our class despite it currently not being in any of the metas …
I’ll stop with these 4 for now … plenty of other stuff, but it’s likely better known stuff.

Nice change of pace if i do say so myself xD, i like to listen to such a large variety, that linking anything other than my Pandora station would be way too much lol. I pretty much listen to anything and everything under the sun, the only real exception is rap, where i’m VERY picky on what i do and don’t enjoy.
My music is primarily Alternative and Rock, so things like Paramore, Rise Against, Bayside, Cage the Elephants, Bowling for Soup, Grouplove, Halestorm, Twenty One Pilots, and New Politics to name a few….
They sing dark, delicious notes about power and family.

I read and hear enough words every day when coding, in meetings, from email, on the forums, etc. … so I often prefer to just get a nice “feel” from music.

Well, since Two Steps from Hell has been mentioned, I’ll state some of the songs that I listen to. But keep in mind that’s not what people usually listen to.
Fairy Tail – Invoke Magic
A song that just randomly showed up in my recommended on youtube for no apparent reason.
Ape Escape 2 – Battle with Specter
I used to play Guildwars 2 with a custom soundtrack on a 10 or so year old machine. That machine broke, but back then this was my choice for boss music.
Magic 2014 – Kamigawa
I simply love games evolving soundtracks. It’s a very difficult experience to replicate when playing another game though.
Nice. My brother and I recently did a vanquishing spree of Cantha in GW1, we listened to the Metal Gear Rising boss music (complete with singing along) so much I ended up buying the game. My personal favourites though:
I listen to the in-game sounds for combat clues, but if I ever get around to making a video of gameplay, it would definitely be Brahm’s cello sonata 1 in E-minor. Especially when it “drops”.
I have plans of making a Ranger montage at some point, I think I’ll use “Bolero” by Ravel, I like how it builds up. Starting in Pre-searing, playing a few builds in GW1, then moving to GW2 PvP and WvW roaming. Ranger throughout the ages. heh.
I also do not listen to tunes while playing, I really like the game music actually, especially when stuff from GW1 plays, so nostalgic but that is also turned down a bit so I can hear Qs in-game.
Ordinarily, I’d be listening to; TOOL, Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Metallica, Jack White/White Stripes, and anything bluesy.
The songs I use in my videos and the music I have playing on the background while I play is usually upbeat, chirpy, happy, groovy with a quirky twist. I do however listen to whatever just happens to sound good to me or suit my mood, from dark tunes of In Flames – Trigger to the magical remix mashing that is Pogo – SquareBob SpongeMix . Most common comment I get is “What on earth do you listen to?!?” My latest oddity I found while youtube surfin’ was Chinese Man – I’ve Got That Tune and I got hooked!

Man, The Arrival was the first Hypocrisy album I heard and I’ve been hooked on the band ever since.
Yes, I <3 Hypocrisy. Eraser has been one of my favorite songs since my early teens and I’m now 23. Peter (their vocalist) still has some of the best vocals in metal IMHO, this includes live performances ~ Only recorded a few years ago and he’s still freaking amazing. This man is my husband he just doesn’t know it yet <3
