As for GW lore, the lore of GW1 was primarily focused on humans and the druids were a group of humans that lived in the Maguuma and kinda sorta became one with the Maguuma. Nothing said a Charr, Sylvari or Centaur couldn’t join the druids, but for whatever reason we don’t know of any centaurs that became a druid. So I’ll stick with my main, my Sylvari Druid.

I guess, then, an Asura Druid would not be out of the realm of possibility.
Oh no, my point was that there’s never been any mention of a race restriction on druids. Just that the original group of druids were humans and could have included, but didn’t include, other races.

I have 3 rangers at the moment, none of which are human. I’ll probably make a 4th once they revert the stupid “New player experience” that makes you pay for traits or grind PvE. The 4th still won’t be human.
GW2 Druid specialization is VERY different from the GW1 Druids.
Besides, the GW1 druids were humans because they were the only ones to do that pilgrimage, if other races did it, the would probably also become druids.

I chose Norn for my future druid, because I think the Norn culture and their veneration of the animal spirits really fits hand in hand with the idea of druids.
