So yeh. Thematically Ancient seeds and Entangle belong to Nature Magic trait line.

  • Ancient Seeds to replace useless invigorating bond and Entangle should be the active for Nature Spirit.

Thus Nature Spirit can get a decreased CD to 60 seconds.

  • Survival skills should get an elite related to survival instead the roots, and Druid should get something cosmos related oriented as defensive combat.

Other changes i’d like to see:

  • Survival:
    Muddy terrain: 300 radius PbAoE knock down 2 seconds (at the beginning) + slow 2 seconds + cripple 5 seconds each pulse. 10 seconds pulse every second.
    Sharpened edges: For 10 seconds ranger and pet attacks causes bleeding, ranger’s attacks also chance 50% to cause torment.

New elite: As survival something(survival of the fittest?) in 60 secs CD that apply 10 seconds resistance to the ranger and pet. Attacks from ranger and pet apply poison for 10 seconds. Breaks stun and is instacast. Seems fitting with survival skills.

Another point is that resistance should be nerfed as right now it too strong and overlap with other buffs. Resistance should reduce to 0 damage from conditions but not block CC effects (stun, daze, cripple, launch, ice, etc…)

  • Druid new tier 3 trait (i feel uninspired by the druid traitline..) :
    Astral Bond: While in avatar ranger’s pet absorbs 50% damage from druid while pet is alive. Pet attacks apply slow\ice.

So there is a trait with pet synergy and promote an active skills 1v1.

  • And at last some changes to some glyphs:
    Glyphs mash up both effects (in and put avatar) to become actually useful and there is a point to equip them. Other than proc the ancient seeds in raids for the buff, aka buffbot, don’t have any other use.

Glyph of rejuvenation: Works as Not avatar state but the healing to others is increased in a 30%

Glyph of equality: retain out of avatar daze, but also break stun for allies. Animation if from Avatar state.

Glyph of aligment: cleanse 3 conditions to 5 allies. Apply weakness and cripple.

Glyph of tides: It works pulling enemies. Pull and radius increased to 600.

Glyph of empowerment: increase damage to allies, increase healing to self also.

Glyph of Unity: increase CD to 60 seconds. Tether 5 enemies.

  • enemies tethered can’t break the tether, can’t leave the area for 6 seconds.
  • damage deal to druid is reverted to the enemies (146 * (1,55 healing power))
  • Druid get 33% direct damage and condition damage reduction .
  • Enemies are revealed and can not stealth or teleport away.
  • Tether is broken if Druid is stuned, knocked down, thrown or launch.

The issue with invigorating bond is the ICD. The ICD is here because the F2 skills doe not have homogeneous Cool down and Anet chose the lazy way to make sure that this trait does not overperform with dps pets. However, this is a healing trait that belong in nature magic which is a support trait line.

Ancient seed is tailored for the druid traitline. There is a need for diversity in each traitline otherwise there is no possibility for build diversity. I know that this is far from being the case in the game as it is right now, but it’s necessary.

Entangle should be considered a trap since it’s basically just that. As for druid… Well the problem lie in the horrible design of the spec. But if you look away from this design, the utilities make sense… more or less.

No core profession should be balanced around an optional elite specialization.
