hi,

i was away from this game for quite some time now and i decide to get back in since im bored of most game now

i decide to make a ranger but im not sure what race look the best with medium armor. from what i saw so far, sylvari or human look decent but im a bit scared of sylvari since most of their armor doesnt have much detail and look like a letuce….for the human, i would like to roll male but male armor seem to look quite bad compared to female.when i left the game,there was no gem armor and probably less armor set then now so i dont know how end-game set look like atm.

between i like flashy set that glow and look,angelic/demonic/futurist etc gw2 dont have much of those but i saw some set that looked quite flashy

can you help me choosing my race for a good looking ranger?thx

Norn t3 is nice, human t3 is overused. Try creating a character with each race and go to the bank to play with the wardrobe.

If you want futuristic junk, go Asura and wear their racial armor or pony up a few bucks for the Aetherblade Medium gemshop set.
Demonic… ton of options for this. Off the top of my head, you could pull off the Citadel of Flames dungeon armor. Charr look beastly, would fit the demonic thing.
Angelic… whole ton of armours. Just need to roll a Human female, find a bunch of obnoxious effect items, and color everything white.

With sylvari the only exclusive leafy armor would be the cultural. Besides that they share all the human models. Same applies with norn, with the size and proportion exception.

I would suggest making some lvl 2 characters and playing around with the wardrobe menu to find what you like

this is a nice web site that features all races, all gender wearing all armor sets.

it also includes stand alone armor such as starting lvl 1 head gear from specific professions and event armor.

On another note the best way to find your “perfect” armor set is to stand naked in front of a bank wardrobe and preview every single armor piece until you found your self a perfect combination.

When it comes to races humans,sylvari and norn use the same armor. the difference is that humans are “default”, sylvari can have a different skin color and they also glow in the dark (body and hair) and norn are a tall version of humans with some cool full body tattos and beards.

You might also check their 3 cultural armor sets (every race has access to all weapon skins) My human guardian uses hotw hat, pit fighter shoulders, t2 human cultural body armor,vigil pants and reinforced scale gloves/boots. If i was a sylvari or norn i would probably have a different body armor and perhaps depending on that piece i would change all others xD

What’s wrong with lettuce armour

All 5 of my characters are Sylvari, and every one of them is dressed in cultural I find for Medium armour I like to mix between the the 3 tiers of the armour rather than use a full set of one. Looks better, especially T1 Shoulders, T3 coat and legs, and T2 everything else.

my first character was an asura war.asura have the best animation BY FAR but…i dont like that armor and weapon are smaller.

norn,male are way to big for ranger,look weird

sylvari, they look weird imo.some armor are awsome but overall,not so sure about this class.

charr, i hate charr.they remind me of a big fat cow like taurent wow class and i dont really like the overall look of their gear.

human,well its nothing exceptional but they usualy look fine.female look better in medium armor but i dont like rolling female…..same for norn,female look awsome but i prefer male (character look :P)
