I dont see any people who noticed that boon Duration builds are killed after patch.
For now we could create a build with 30 in NM and 2 runes of the sets of Water, Traveler and Monk for additional 45%.
Now thats impossible, we cant get over 15% via runes.
I know boon Duration is strong but while they buff condition Duration runes that boon Duration build is nerfed a bit too much. 25-30% would be more okay i think for water and Monk. For traveler we Need to the changes there.
What do u think? Maybe im a bit prejudiced because i wanted to create such a build for wvw scouting and dolyak escorting (28,5s swiftness on 28s cd )
Stand by on the doom and gloom on that front – they seemingly rebuilt runes so there is a clear go to choice for each type of buff and we haven’t seen the boon-duration-is-my-thing rune write up yet.

Agree with that, there will probably be a boon bonus set somewhere.
I mean seeing as how Monk runes are now “I am a healer!” Runes I’d be very surprised if there isn’t a set that is essentially “I’m a buffer!”

but in pve/wvw more
what i could imagine is what i suggested
infusions with boon duration. we have no ascended giver stats. so this solution is not impossible. we will see it.neverthess a hard hit for users of this builds
It’s only a hard hit if they don’t have a rune set that gives you a kitten ton of boon duration, I mean the fact that the “this is the burn/might/poison/etc” runes gives +50% duration or so suggests otherwise…. Especially when there is a “healer” rune set, not to mention they explicitly said they wanted options for those who took different rune sets to achieve a build and don’t want those builds to go away.
I think they will add a boon duration set. Since you have to give up a lot of stats to actually get the +45%, I think (hope) that they will just make a set that is something like;
(1) +10 to all stats
(2) +5% boon duration
(3) +10 to all stats
(4) +10% boon duration
(5) +10 to all stats
(6) +30% Boon duration
Since there is a cap at 90% boon duration, you have to assume that they want people to be able to hit that cap. Because if they make a cap that is not possible to reach, its redundant. You just have to give up a lot of other numbers to get there. Also, they are trying to increase the viability of support builds and nerfing boon duration, which is a core mechanic of this play style, would kill them.

If that’s including consumables don’t, they balance around the consumables not being a factor.
