cof path 1 need help
Try Entangling Vines as your Elite. Assuming whoever’s on the gate can do it in an efficient amount of time, it’ll hold the mobs there for the entire duration.
I usually am the one that hits the controller. Just use the #2 skill from the lb and use qz and have your pet tank while you do it.
I assume you are the one standing at one of the pillars.
If you have 30 Marksmanship, use signet of stone in emergency.
I usually start with entangle, LB barrage, weaken, rapid fire. Spike trap, flame trap. swap to SB and just pew pew! By now they r all dead. (im a condition trapper).
Signet of Stone, pick a tanky pet→bears and arctodus and after the 6 seconds from Signet of stone runs out. pop the shout protect me. You actually got 12 seconds of recieving -0 in dmg.
Entangle as elite
weapons→ fire skill nr 5 barrage from longbow
or just equip greatsword and start swing around inside the dome and you can almost evade all of their attacks. just use the skill 1 on autoattack
Plenty of ideas to survive in there ^^
Sorel→~Saga/Ranger~Shadow/Guardian~Balthazor/Warrior
If you still struggle then I suggest you use a wolf to cast Fear onto them or you could use some traps such as frost, muddy terrain or spike along with entangle makes it perfect to stay at the pillar for a very long time
IGN: Recommend -lvl 80 Ranger
Guild: Professors [PROF]
Shortsword or longsword will do the trick .

This, SoS + Protect Me + Lightning reflexes for extra evade (or ice trap to slow them down). Wolf for AoE fear. GS 4 block + GS 5 interrupt, swap to Sword + Dagger for multiple evades. It’s a little tricky, but with experience it gets a lot easier.

I’m wearing full berserker.
I’m sure – that’s a reason…

I’m full berserker, but once you know what you’re doing the pillars aren’t a problem. You can even survive fairly long in path 2 bomb room kiting.

Whether berserker’s armor is a help or hindrance depends on your character. If you can kill the initial spawn off (subsequent respawns are one at a time), then obviously it’s a help. If you’re dying before you can kill them off, then it’s a hindrance.
I found greatsword works really well there. Your third attack in the autoattack chain is also an evade, so you’ll reduce the damage you’re taking by about a third. Its attacks are AOE, as is the #2 attack and its bleed. And the #4 block basically gives you 3 seconds of invulnerability if you fire it while running in circles and keep running. The counterattack (which ends the blocking) only triggers if you’re attacked while standing still.
Also, try using a drake pet. Its regular attacks are AOE.
LB 5 + Drake helps for me, while running full DPS utilities/elite (saved for last boss/speedrun). If you want extra damage, you can use Golem in a box for a quick burst at the start too. Note that it has a CD of 20 seconds now.
It also depends on how long someone takes to destroy the controller. I’ve been in groups where this takes awhile. It should not.
I am the one on the switch, and if everyone else does their part the door is open in 4-6 seconds. This is how I do it.
Stand in front of the first door and equip my sword/WH and a bear pet. As soon as everyone is in place, the first door opens and the fire shield comes down off the switch. I put the bear pet on the silver mob waiting, I pop RaO and WH 5 and4 which is CoW and birds attack I believe. By now you should be at or on the switch hitting it with birds and your sword. Pop QZ and watch the switch go down, if it does not and QZ is gone, I swap my pet out for another 2 seconds of quickness and it is down for sure. At any time during the encounter with the switch, if the silver switches to you, pop signet of stone and ignore him.
So, you are looking at 4-6 seconds if it is done right and I have not had a problem ever in a guild group reproducing this. In a PUG, it is a different story and I often have to swtich to SB and keep a distance between myself and the silver.
Very easy if you know how to do it and everyone does their part. This also works post 28 Jan patch. Although, there was one difference that I had never seen before. The silver actually ran out of the switch room and went to the rest of the group which only made my job easier.
I also have full berserker gear mostly with 30 points on survival tree and weapons with vit/toughness but i survive very well during it, the only time i have died was when someone else wasn’t killing his mobs and they came to my side, so they were more than i could handle, happened 1 time only. What i do is use axe and hit all targets at the same time and with QZ they die even faster and you can have some time to help others with range, heal or whatever. Also like other people say entrangle would work great in this situation.
During cof path 1, the acolytes part i also survive very well, probably i am the last to die but i have never die there that i remember. I also nights ago protected Hoggins during AC path 1 and did very good (SB doesn’t hit borrows, i always get obstructed so im useless during that part)
