enhance the ranger class, what do you think?
Nature magic seems to be focused on boons a lot. Not just about healing and regeneration. I don’t think this kind of switch would really fit the traitline’s style.
Looking at fortifying bond and bountiful hunter, they aren’t focused on regeneration and healing in particular, but any boon at all.
Healing power instead of boon duration, from my point of view, would probably be a bit of a nerf to nature magic because of that traitline’s focus and it’s style. Beastmastery does not give boons. It would be a bit of a mismatch. Not that healing fits beastmastery anyway, but it fits in a little better than boon duration would.
That’s my 2 cents.
I’ve been saying it for months: guardian is OP. No one believes me. “but chopps we have a low health pool”. I don’t care about that, ya know? The fact is, it’s harder to get results with ranger in every game mode, especially pvp. “But chopps ranger spirit build is just cast spirits and spam crossbow”. Lol and wellomancer is just DROP WELLS LOL GG and warrior is just spam knockback and guardian gets every tool for everything, basically. Ok I’m exaggerating a little but the next question is 100% serious:
When will people realize stability is OP? When will people admit guardian is OP in pve and warrior is OP in both pve and pvp?

Engineer is the most op imo right now. They can bunker like a guardian and deal cd like a necro. The best part is they don’t even need to focus on a target, just run around and drop bombs/grenades (talking spvp)
I have a feeling ranger looked great on paper. They were supposed to be the spirit / beastmaster with ability to spread conditions at range (with either traps or bows).
Too bad the game is really power based and as pointed out, stability based. If they do not have stability, you better believe they have a way to spam might and cleanse all the conditions in seconds. Then dance or spam /sit on you like they actually accomplished something.
I believe ranger as an archer seemed cool on paper. Like you can sit at range, dealing decent damage. However, I think they forgot about something called “dungeons”, “tPvP”, “terrible strafe kiting”, “S/D eaz mode #2 spammable 1200 teleport”.

I find my kill rate is pretty even across all my professions. It’s important to keep in mind that how you play, has as much value as which profession and build you play. Which is also evident when you say you don’t have any problem taking camps solo, but you do when fighting other players. This leads me to believe that, while you have enough damage and durability, your gameplay might not be that strong with the Ranger.
I don’t know that your changes would matter that much, at least to me. I feel that my Ranger has an easy chance surviving encounters, mostly thanks to a lot of dodging and control.

I agree that the Guardian needs to be looked at. I play a burst build on my Guardian, and I have almost 2500 power (without Empower buff), 50% critical chance, and still almost 1600 toughness and 16500 health. On top of the heavy armor, virtues, and tons of boons..

Aren’t rangers pretty much on par with all the other classes? I rarely play mine anymore
i think they are not OP. We are underpowered. anet give us rangeed fight style with minions but they prefer the melee style with cc. thats what looks better on twitch tpvp channels.
