I would like to have many condi but it seems that bleeds are the best condi to focus on, also is ranger burn really the worse in the game (pro told me so)’

Burning ranger isn’t the worst in the game (Cough cough condition thief), but bleed is most definitely our strongest condition. I currently run Runes of the Krait in PvP, and I’ve been having quite a lot of success with them. The thing is, since all of of our burning comes from offhand torch, and the vast majority of our bleed comes from shortbow/axe, you don’t really need to choose between them – you can run a bleed build, throw in a torch, and get the best of both.

Burning ranger isn’t the worst in the game (Cough cough condition thief), but bleed is most definitely our strongest condition. I currently run Runes of the Krait in PvP, and I’ve been having quite a lot of success with them. The thing is, since all of of our burning comes from offhand torch, and the vast majority of our bleed comes from shortbow/axe, you don’t really need to choose between them – you can run a bleed build, throw in a torch, and get the best of both.

You definitely don’t need short bow for bleeds. I never felt like short bow was impactful enough to make the cut for a pvp to me. I use Balthazar runes traited for traps. Sword/torch and axe/dagger. Spike trap, axe2 and entangle are more than enough bleed pressure and each on their own offer enough to space them out if need be beyond their primary usages. ( root, immo, KD, cripple). Our burning applications are burning trap and torch 4 and 5 and those are all pretty good and even more so if you can get people to stand in them via immo, KD, root and cripple. If they buff bleeding then krait runes will be much better and we can drop axe and maybe grab long bow or GS for utility instead of damage.

Also, I wish fire spirit was better… It can do some serious work if it doesn’t die and there is a group fight.

TLDR: we have enough bleeding application to not have to buff the duration of it to make it decent. So if we focus on how good burn is right now, our small amount of burn applications become more dangerous.

Technically, worst burn in the game is Mesmer since it’s application on torch is delayed and randomly applied via staff auto.

Edit: Keep playing Sinister Axe/Torch. If you want more bleeds, swap Trapper’s Expertise for Sharpened Edges. You’ll have more bleeds & burn between the two without having to alter any of your gear.

I will just stay on topic to answer OPs question. While I would probably run something else in dungeons, since you asked for something focusing on bleeds to run one, consider axe / nothing, nothing / torch, quickdraw for splitblade, geomancy/earth/agony sigil (figure out the math of your rotation to find what suits best), traits that bleed on crit and the one which increase duration. Could swap out one trait for trap expertise if you are fighting bosses with adds.

I’d quick draw bonfire whenever available though.. even if the bleed stacks will look impressive if you do double split blade every swap.

Note that bonfire has dmging tics every second which will contribute bleeds from sharpened edges trait too.

Torch is just so strong. It’s done right.

Don’t actually do 2 axes and 2 torches, just put 1 axe in a weapon swap and torch in another so you successfully proc quick draw. Use said trait on bonfire, obviously.

The axe/torch condi build can easily stack over 12-15 stacks of burning (I’ve seen some 24, but let’s lay low), and burning currently hits like a freight train. Will it be nerfed? no idea. Just.. give it a try. There must be a guide somewhere, but it’s a rather idiot-proof rotation.
You can swap a spirit for the bleeding trap, if you’re solo, I suppose. Frost is lots of help for your group.
Oh, and you can take the bleeding trait. I guess. But I prefer to focus on burning.
And the heal too, you can take the survival if you got the trait. I mostly use that heal for the burning proc if I have poison master.

Whoa, 24 stacks of burning? Is that solo? I’ve never had above 10, and that was on a practice golem. Can you provide links?

Nope.
Burning is the condition for DPS.

What we are considering is 3 splitpblades instead of 2 against 10sec CD bonfire.
Regardless of how you want to look at it – Sun Spirit + Fire Trap + Torch just blow bleeding apart.

Bleeds might only be an option if you are considering a hybrid build using Sharpened Edges and rune of the Mad King combination. That way pressing your entangle and Warhorn #4 may result in one glorious bleeding pressure that keep reapplying for some time, making cleanses less useful against you.

But that’s WvW.
In PvE, burning is far superior.

I relogged to fool around a bit and I got 21 stacks on a vet wolf, but I screwed up really badly and my sun spirit was too far away to finish it off with the last 3 burning stacks burst. It would’ve been 24 if I hadn’t been so kittened, meh. I found 17-19 peak stacks with lower being 12-15 to be achievable and maintainable, though. I know proof and all but I can’t be bothered to link a 30s video that will take my slow connection half an hour to upload, forgive me. I’ll see if I can do better, but my advice would be to go and see for yourself. The arah abom is a good place to start. 2-3 rifles, easy cake.

Can’t say if Ranger burning is worst. I don’t think so. It works very well in PvP against most builds you will encounter. Bleeding on the other hand, seems to be weaker after the update than before. I need to try SotF shortbow again to be sure, though.

It may just be that most of the Meta counters projectile based bleeds too easily (reflects and condi cleanse).
