Did everyone else know tail swipe hits this hard!?

Its might stacked but its very easy to do.

Just got one for 13k+ as well…

You had 18 might on u , i guss drake had like 25~. Ya with 25 might and vau on golem drake can crit this high.

Yeh I was practising personal might stacking.

Surprised me though because its easy to land. Might go and try might stacking BM double drake now!

Sure, can be realy cool. But remember taunt and rakes dont work togather that well. But with ZS… Could be very nice.

It’s all about positioning when it comes to using drakes. They’ve worked extremely well for me.

Ive made a might stacking build and my spider could hit for 4k with auto attack some squishy targets.

On Tequatl I usually see 9~10k tail swipe, and then use the river drake breath and each hit cause about 3.2k damage.

Drakes is the best 2nd pet on PvE imo, when your feline HP is running low, swap to a drake and will lose a bit of DPS but till tank like … well a beast.

Drakes work very well with taunt, you just have to make sure your Drake is positioned well though, which isn’t too difficult.

I run double-drakes because in 20-40 fractals, they can still handle tanking legendary bosses. It’s pretty impressive.

I run double drakes as well in PVE, they can tank almost as well as a bear and still put out decent DPS.

Tail Swipe is a pretty insane burst when it lands. On at least two occasions after the big patch I saw my drake take a thief from 100% to 10% with one blow. The thieves were not nearly as amused as I was.

As for taunting, you just need to be good at positioning to make sure the taunt lands. Or you can use a frost or salamander drake who’s F2’s range is slightly less than the taunt, which means the drake will make sure the taunt will land every time.

Being good at cancelling the F2 also goes a long way, as you can taunt the enemy in to fake out a panic dodge/stunbreak then follow up with the actual F2.

In normal situation you’d be lucky to crit for 7k.

If you use bonfire/trap, warhorn, clarion bond, battle sigil, zeyphers speed – that’s 17 might stacks within 3 seconds. And you only have to burn 1 utility at most.

Oh and its not random, the Drake will use it as soon as you swap to it.

If you use bonfire/trap, warhorn, clarion bond, battle sigil, zeyphers speed – that’s 17 might stacks within 3 seconds. And you only have to burn 1 utility at most.

Or just use mainhand axe with Nature Magic and have perma 25 might on your pet almost the entire fight. Or use Companion’s Might in the BM line.

Rangers don’t exactly suffer when it comes to stacking might on our pets.

But then it will be random because you can’t control the tail swipe

And if you petswap it will have no might.

What are you running?

Well, not entirely random. You know how long the cooldown is, so you could count how long until the next Tail Swipe and plan your slows and stuns accordingly.

Though what we really need is the ability to see our pet’s cooldowns at the VERY least. If we can’t control when they happen we need to at least see when they are coming off cooldown.

Might stacking is clunky with ranger at best.
What I meant is that to reach high shiny number you sacrifice 2 utility slots for 2 bad skills. I don’t care that a thief can backstab for 20’000 if he has to sacrifice shadowstep, shadowrefuge because then his build simply sucks.
