long ranger stealths?
You can blast a smokescale field OOC for 9 seconds which should be plenty to do about anything you want. Warhorn, CA, and staff. Prolly get like 6 seconds of usuable stealth.
In combat you have a couple more options, which is useful for the places you want to mine rich ori nodes under karka or whatever. Drake and clarion bond, and possibly quick draw.
The “trick” for using your pet as diversion is to just stand out of range and send the pet in, then go do your thing. It’s far more efficient than stealth because it takes no setup and almost always works, but you can use both one after the other for effectively unlimited time, especially if you don’t stealth your pet.

Ill try and experiment with various combos and pet tricks.
Maybe send the pet in and call it back to pull them away from the chest/node while swooping in. Using some stealth to shake off a few that turn on me.
i just have to remember to give my pet a treat after i get the loot
Don’t forget to use quickness when channeling some things like chests. Not sure if it works on hero points.
Well, for looting stuff – I suppose you’ll be using LB.
The finest combo I can think of is LB #3 > Smokescale F2 > Warhorn or Staff blast > CAF #3 blast > Leave CAF for Celestial Shadow.
Consequently – It will result in 12 seconds of stealth (and 3 seconds of super-speed, and by using WH, even 15 seconds of swiftness). It will take you a few seconds to execute, but that’s the most you can get.
If you do not want to enter combat, or it’s better for you not to – then just leave out the LB part and do it the way it was already mentioned by others as well.

I’ve never been able to reach 9 seconds by the time I’ve used all of these abilities, since it takes time to execute them all.

They can be cast kind of on the move. You could even send Smokescale in, F2 > Staff there, Use CAF #3 on the move, and leave CAF whenever you feel like it.

Ya that’s why I was guessing like 6 seconds. It’s still plenty of time to fool around with an AI. That sounded weird.
I just remembered. Besides the camoflague (10s stealth while standing still), the whispers kit (3s stealth, can move) and runes of the trapper (all of them require an item of some sort) i also have my pet siamoth that can forage me a bundle item called Blinding tuft .
i can either use hunters shot, pick the item up and use it for more stealth, or use it for more stealth while still being ooc
I would just get some stealth consumables. Use a harpy feather → order of whispers spykit → harpy feather → ash legion spy kit → harpy feather for a very easy 20+ seconds of stealth. You have to remain still while using the ash legion spy kit, so it’s ideal for looting chests or hero points (Works perfectly for the Balthazar HP in AB for example).
The alternative as mentioned is blasting stealth with the smokescale, but that can be cumbersome and will not last long enough for hero point channels unless you’re very quick.
