Settlers Trap Druid
This is the build I run personally. You can swap the viper’s trap for a signet of the wild if you want the ranger-regen (probably not needed) or a stun break, and you can swap the glyph for 12 seconds of stab on a 60 second timer if you want, but I find the condi burst to be quite effective on that krait rune. You could run empathic bond over the extra poison if you want, but between the glyphs and healing spring condition removal shouldn’t be as much of an issue.
I’ve tried the critical bleed + staff aa build, it’s not worth giving up the trap trait and healing power for precision. Not when you’re playing a healer spec that also wants condition damage. At 15k HP you’ll have to watch out for those bursts.

In game you only need 1 axe and 1 torch. Equip the Axe for your mainhand on one set, and torch offhand for the other. The game will figure out the rest. Get in combat, swap weapons to trigger Quick Draw. Cast Bonfire. Spam everything else. You can keep Bonfire up 100% of the time thanks to Quick Draw.
I haven’t had a chance to do any high level fractals yet. Basically I took the Sinister Axe/Torch build of the prior meta, kept everything essential to making it work, and added in druid. The build feels much more complete now then it ever did. Great damage with high up time thanks to condis, then improved sustain, break bar control and support from Avatar form. I’m not a numbers guy but I’m fairly certain this build will be the absolute best personal dps a ranger can bring while also bringing every unique offensive buff rangers can.
I’ve said it a few times on the forums already but this stuff is new so positive reinforcement. Traited Glyphs provides your group with the Grace of the Land bonuses outside of celestial avatar form. That means that Grace of the Land should at a minimum boost party damage by 3% all of the time, and 15% much of the time.
Just as a side note on gear. Condi food got nerfed. It is now 20% duration not 40%. With the bonus from Sigil of Agony, and the bonus from your Balthazar runes you’ll be sitting at 40% increased bleed duration, and 65% increased burn duration. The most optimal gearing will see players mixing in the new Viper’s stats. I think the goal will be to hit 100% burn duration.
On the old build I used to see 5-6k burn stacks and 3-4k bleed stacks, with low might. low vuln parties. 8-10 k burn stacks, and 5-7k bleed stacks with parties that were good at buffing/debuffing. I’m expecting, once I get completely geared out, that the peaks won’t be quite as high but the damage will be far steadier with fewer peaks and valleys through the fight.
Also, none of the major PVE guilds have published guides on druid builds for dungeons as far as I can tell. Let me know what you guys think?
the best condi build i found looks something like that – i can stack up to 30 bleeds on an enemy so everything dies really fast…still youre quite resilient… you can also swapp staff with shortbow if you want
