Guild Wars 2

so as i am reaching lvl 80 (i had another ranger but deleted it long ago, playing ranger as human kind of felt clunky, did same on my engi, rerolled both to asura) i would like to ask for a bit help~

i got inspired by trapper builds after hearing trapper runes, ofc i immideatly bought and crafted 6 trapper runes, now ofc i dont know how to build it up, i would like to use the regen heal (the over 10 s time) fire trap, ice trap, lightning reflexes, entangle

i also got a pretty fair idea of how to put together the traits

but i am lost at gears, what kind of gears / gearmix should i get? rabid? do we need the crit? dire? is the vitality necessary? apotheecary? could the healing be useful or does it scale bad?

if someone could help out, that would be great

Celestial. Get the One Gear Set to Rule Them All, and retrait at will. Ranger skills touch pretty much every stat, so unless you’re really after minmaxing, it’ll do the job. And it won’t go to waste when traps bore you and you decide to go power/LB, or regen BM.

i will pick up several gears ofc, all of my chars at least carry 3-4 gearsets w em, so dont worry about that, dont need one geartype for everything, celestial feels clunky on everything besides ele and engi in my opinion so i prefer not using it on ranger, any other ideas? :>
