need help with a new build
did you link the right build? Right now you have a shortbow/staff build, you don’t have a warhorn on.
With the build you posted I’d swap celestial shadow to natural stride to gain swiftness, swap SB to LB and use that to gain stealth (x2 thanks to quickdraw)…. and yeah, I’d definitely lose healing spring and trapper runes. TU isn’t a bad heal when you have the added healing from CA to burst you back up. Of course for more zerg support you might want to consider shouts now that they fixed trooper runes.

yeh you are right, swap sb for sword\warhorn. the rest is as intended but as i said it doesn’t work right now.
I know once you get used to TU the heal is pretty decent, i like it more than WHaO.
The build i’m using now is different and it does a good job as zerg support, but i was thinking about making a new one using more stealth and the long water field that the trap is. But i find the trap really lacking with such an small heal and long CD.
LB is a nice idea, although personally i dont find LB interesting anymore. Also, and this is my personal preference, when you finish someone and they whisper you “kitten pewpew, noob you cheesy OP build” i like to have the oportunity to respond “You fool a ranger rekt you with a *Shortbow. Getgud, L2P and tell your family a ranger slapped you to dead"*
I’m trying to avoid to use the cheesy build NM\BM\DR with trooper as i find all the passives not engaging. I’d like to change build but i find myself mostly locked into the two tanky builds everybody is using because i can’t find more variety in condition cleanses\utility.
Hi Anduriell.
I’ve always find it hard to have a build that suits both roaming and zerg-fighting.
I’d say this build can be good for roaming, but most definitely not for zerg-fighting.
- You have no stability and only 1 stunbreaker, which means you’ll get pinned down with ease once focussed. Unless you’re in a squad with a stab-buffer.
- This build is also focused on condition damage, condition damage is almost useless in zerg- and blob-fighting for the years that I played WvW, all damage in zerg-fighting is build around raw damage: power, prec, fer. If you’d want to combine roaming and zerg-fighting, I’d stay away from condi.
- Your toughness/armor is very low/you’re very glassy. Which would make you forced to fight backline. There’s no time in zerg-fighting to stand and wait backline in a healing spring without your commy and your blob to help you blast or be meatshields for glassy you. Going s/wh with this armor in a zerg will get you killed very quickly.
I’d say either a zerg-fighting build or a roaming build.
for zergs, maybe something like this: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vNAQJAWTnUqANsgVsCWsActgl9AbpJEAObPxhm3TDOuWX/rnMbsOD-T1hNABIpJgM1f0T5QU6AAY/h7VCSjSOSB8tIL-w
tried not to change much
The only build I can come up with that is ok in both roaming and zerg-fighting is a full glass lb/x, but that would scrap all that you have now
Maybe a trapper focussed-build, which is very annoying with CC’s for the enemy zergs, and can do well in roaming too.
