need help with a support build
It looks like a fine build. The only thing that really sticks out to me is the fact that you have an Axe pared with the Dagger. What is your thought process behind that?
- If you consider the sword you get more poison and an evade as well as a leap finisher.
-If you consider warhorn you have more group support with birds and fury/speed/might buff blast finisher. Which would work well with your current healing.
- Since you have a lot of CD why not do bleed on crit as the sigil?
Give a man a fire and he’s warm for a day, but set a man on fire . . .
@Aphoticrain: thanks for your reply.
I was just trying maximize the number of doges i can get (hence the OH dagger and 2 sigils of energy). If you think it’s an overkill, then i can easily switch the OH to warhorn and the crit sigils.
I’m not a pro gamer, I literally can’t work with MH sword (#2 and #3 are awesome, but #1 autoattack… -_-) and after multiple attempts, I have given up on it. On the other hand, I enjoy using Axe a lot. I usually run with Axe/Axe or Axe/Warhorn.
Edited: CD = Condition Damage?

I’d say keep the axe and swap OH for Warhorn.
Axe 3 puts weakness on your enemy + chill, thats pretty good if you take the support role.
OH warhorn gives awesome buffs, a blastfinisher and some good damage too.
This way you can really save your mates in tight situations.
drop your healing spring, use Warhorn 5 and give them some good health.
For Offhand, I’d use Sword/Axe
Sword gives awesome evades and cripples plus the best damage we have.
Axe is an awesome weapon to save your allies from ranged attacks and can easily save lives.
You can for example use Axe 5 to protect a downed Mate while others keep rezzing.
since you already traited Offhandtraining, this would be a very good addition to your support build.
Also: Axe 4 is a pretty good single target skill and can interrupt enemies with it’s pull when timed right.
For WvW roaming you can keep the Signet, but for Dungeons I’d pick another spirit.
(Sun Spirit would be good to boost your mates damage)
As you dont have a bow anymore, you can swap your Skirmishing X to IX
Update 5.9.2013: getting better ANet, still way to go!

Fair enough I know the sword has it faults so I’ll rule it out of the build. You can still use the energy sigil on the off hand. I would keep the chill on the axe and trade it out for the crit sigil on the Shortbow.
As Aeri mentioned you could take Axe/Axe but that setup has never felt very support orientated to me.
I would point out in going Shortbow and Axe/Horn you are all ranged so keep the in mind when facing things with reflect.
And yes CD= Condition Damage.

I think you’re missing Warhorn and Signet of Renewal here. They are great support skills, so I would defiantly get them in your build. Then change Stone Spirit to Storm Spirit, for the extra swiftness and high damage from Call Lightning, and Frost Spirit to Sun Spirit, because you are running a condition damage build.
You already have enough bleed from your shortbow, so I would get the forest spider instead of lashtail devourer as your main pet. Then use wolf as your second hand pet.
As for traits, Spotter is a good support skill that can lift the damage of the party a bit, and you’re better off going 20 into Marksmanship for the 20% more condition duration anyway. Keen Edge is also better then Sharpened Edges. Healer’s Celerity increases your revive speed by 10%, so thats good for supporting, and is another source of swiftness.
It’s not really worth it to have all that precision, when Sharpened Edges is your only “on critical hit” ability. So I would change your weapons to carrion, and your jewels to chrysocola, for the extra condition damage and vitality.
Sigil of Energy will give you some more endurance.
