Its an elite skill that aoe pulses immobilize and bleeding. Pretty sure that makes it an elite trap.

One cannot pre-set it. And it does not gain anything from the trapper trait.
Lack of an Elite trap skill is one of the reasons that make trapper builds not viable (at least in pvp).
All professions are missing 2 elites and 1 heal.
Should have been added before elite specializations, imo.

theres nothing to be “fixed” with all professions having 3 elites, 4 healing skills and 20 utilities.
The only inconsistency is the engineer that has 4 utility types instead of the regular 5, but then again he does have his toolbelt skills so i guess he does kinda have 5.
should we get more skils? yeah..and we do get them trough elite specializations.

also, some skills still dont have a “type” (shelter guardian healing skill for example) even after the specialization patch where they removed and changed certain skills so they can “fit in” within a type.
An example would be rangers “we heal as one” and “strength of the pack!” turning into shouts, or guardians elite tomes turning into a signet.

Sad is, that the elite trap already existed in beta, but was removed with release. Maybe it was removed, because of balancing issues

But yes, it is really annoying that in a game like gw2, where every supportskills in every build depends on the same skillline (traps, shouts, survival, signets, etc.) has such gaps for elite and healing skills (or complete useless lines like spirits)
