Guild Wars 2

I’m running 30 markman, 30 skirmish, 5 wilderness, 5 beastmastery. Using berserker and longbow/shortbow. I like the build untill I realize there is very little aoe.

Longbow 5 hve like a 24 second cooldown. shortbow 2 isn’t that useful too.

Is there anyway to stay berserker and compensate for the lack of aoe? Like switch to another weapon? But it seamed other aoe for weapon or utility skill all focus on condition damage.

Sword. Can go GS but its less dps but still decent.

Target back mobs and line up as many as you can, spam crossfire.

yea aoe is kinda a problem, even more for me with shortbow. Traps are good but i dont use them so. In wvw is a pain if your planning to get marks, i used my guardian with staff in wvw and wvw love the aoe and i get a lot more with it than with ranger.

Use an eles fiery GS?

I’ve been running that build forever now (what I affectionately call my AD carry in WvW) and you have 2 ways to add AoE: piercing arrows trait (which depending on your build might be too expensive to run) and traps. Fire trap does surprising damage on a power based build.

If that doesn’t work for you you can always pick up an axe for the free AoE on auto.

Dual bows with no pierce? Pierce would be pretty much essential…If you run a build with no points in marksman chances are you’re not using dual bows anyway…

Rapid Fire/Crossfire + piercing + sigil of fire

Target someone in the back and keep moving to sides.

Drakes+Greatsword

Put sigil of fire on your longbow and turn barrage into a meteor storm

Piercing arrows is absolutely essential in both WvW and PvE, that’s where your AoE comes from. It just comes in strips instead of circles
