Guild Wars 2

hello everyone,

as a returning player that never had a lvl 80 i just got me a lvl 80 ranger since 2 days ago (yay finally).
So far i’ve had a lot of fun but i wanted some feedback to make sure i’m on the right track for progression. (this is pretty much just for pve, not that interested in pvp)

for a build i’m currently basing myself on http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Ranger_-_S/A_LB_Spotter, was just wondering if this is indeed something good to do dungeons/fractals with.
as far as gear goes, i’m under the impression i basicly need berserker gear, (so far i’ve bought 3 berserker’s rubicon armor items), is there any other gear i should think about?
is there any difference in the more expensive gear that can be found on the trading post other than looks? i found a couple of different bows with exactly the same stats but just another look, while one costs 3g and the other one 275g.

somewhat unrelated: i’ve also issued a ticket with support because of something that appears to be missing from my account (mini rytlock vanished while i bought the physical CE back in the day, and it’s not under my minipet tab), does anyone have an idea what the average response time is?

are there any other things i should be aware about before starting on dungeons and fractals?
