im looking for some direction. atm im using a longbow and a greatsword but idk if its any good.im just lost with this class.

Well for pve you should drop the GS, it’s a pretty low dps weapon. It works well for pvp though, it gives a lot of utility and a decent burst with maul.

But in PvP/WvW you are usually better off running either LB/staff or GS/staff.
The staff gives mobility, a blast finisher, it is really helpful for charging your celestial form, and it bypasses all the projectile hate.

Check out metabattle or just look through some of the threads in this subforum, there are plenty of builds posted to help you get started.
