ranger's break stun skills
If it is technically possible, it would be nice if lightning reflexes would always dodge in the opposite direction your camera is facing. Right now it activates in the opposite direction your character is facing which you cannot change while stunned or knocked down.
And a lower cooldown as well please 60 seconds on a ranger is like an eternity… considering you usually drop in about 10 seconds lol

Its actually 45 seconds, 36 if you have the 20% cooldown trait.
Speaking of other improvements to the skill though, I’d love for it to break immobilize and perhaps stun any enemy it damages for 2 seconds. Heck, I’d probably take a stun effect over the unimpressive damage it has.

well i dont expect they will even buff it since they wont buff rangers and only will nerf it even if ranger is so weak already
i just hope i can have a reasonable skills that at least you can dodge to the direction you press and not only roll backwards and falling down from a cliff to death
i think this shouldnt even consider as buff this is just a simple request
dont even try to ask them to buff any of it becoz they will only buff the profession they like and not for balance

This, a 1000 times. And have it disregard mobility status. It’s worthless to have an evade dodge that takes cripple and chill into account. When you’re immoblized, you often are already crippled, using LR in those cases only pushes you back 2 pixels which makes it worthless.
Anet, you guys said you want to boost survivability on LB? This is how you do it. Take away the damage or even vigor if you want. Make it break all mobility status and launch the ranger back.

Wow could you act like a crybaby a bit more? Sure, ranger didn’t get the changes he deserves since months now but please stop that.
My main issue is immobilize completly countering this skill as someone above already said. This is why I suggested giving ranger the warrior trait “movement skills break immobilize”. This would effect lightning reflexes, GS, Sword and even Shortbow 3 and it would actually make a lot of sense because immobilize is a condition and ranger nearly exclusively has pulsing condition removal every X seconds which is very bad versus immobilize.

you are the cry babies
i didnt ask any thing than i can choose my own direction to roll by lightning reflexes and not only backwards only
so that makes you wont fall to death when you breakstun from cliffs
no idea what are you talking about
no one is talking about i demend a buff or what
your speak sir doesnt make any sense and sound rude & offending
I still don’t understand why Zephyr doesn’t break stun.

Yeah I come across this problem with this skill and the similar thief skill. Knockdowns often leave you on the ground, unable to get a good facing, and then the escape skills throw you in a random direction. These skills should work exceptionally well when you use them at the right time, since they’re not at all useful at any other time.
I still don’t understand why Zephyr doesn’t break stun.
Not sure why Quickening Zephyr should break stun. Why should a damage buff break stun? We could certainly do with more but really, especially as a skill that pretty much everyone takes, why should it break stun? I’m curious, does anyone else’s quickness buffs break stun?
Haste and frenzy are stunbreaks.
Haste and Frenzy also have worse drawbacks.
I dunno, Frenzy isn’t awesome but it fits the class and what they want to do with quickness (DPS) Haste is probably the lowest price to pay for quickness (personally I’d far rather a temporary loss instead of being unable to heal). Quite often I will use my pet swap quickness solely for the heal. I often find I will use quickness for defensive reasons (resing, evasion skills, heals) rather than offensive reasons.
I wish the class had more than two stun breaks (or that Antidote Signet was just an all round superior skill – both cool down, active and passive effects). Maybe one of the shouts (like Protect Me or Guard) but tbh, there is so much else wrong with the class I believe needs work on. I won’t be happy until people are excited I’m running spirits because it makes them much more effective.
Having control over the direction of Lightning Reflexes might take away from the instant reflexive function of the skill.
I think the greater point people are getting frustrated with Rangers is that multiple other classes have the ability to stun break. Some even have multiple stuns breaks available to them in their utilities. In PvE stun break is not a game changer. In sPvP stun breaks is a game changer at least 4-7 times per match. Unfortunately the concept of rangers in guild wars 1 is entirely missing in guild wars 2. They have no interrupts that require timing or savvy to use and they are too heavily dependent on always having a pet present. I, myself prefer to play without a pet. It seems the ranger has had all its eggs placed into conditions and pets and no further complexity or range of style has been considered. Everything they possess is vanilla flavoured at best. Poor pvp condition removals that don’t harm your pet, very average damage, poor arrow tracking and a token stun break that you have no control over. I am just John Q public opinion..that means it should be invaluable to Anet considering their mantra was to create the best M.M.O of all time with gw2. I would recommend a serious and thoughtful over haul of the ranger. Much the same as the engineer has become incredibly viable in sPvP now with the turrets updates, the same should now be applied to ranger. Currently they work best against solo targets (Even then they only perform averagely) they have little crowd control unless they carry full traps and they are far too orientated towards a singular style of play. If we consider that in gw1 a player in pvp could go touch ranger, interrupter, condition spreader, whirling scythe, bunny thumper, critical hitter, trapper or balanced…it seems they have regressed majorly.
The Sigil breaks stun and removes ALL conditions, that’s why I use it nice passive condition removal overall and complete cleanse on demand when needed.

I agree that they can add a knock back/down. And take away the damage. But you stay the hell away from my vigor.
