ranger stealth nerfed?
Ive often gotten “obstructed” messages with projectiles where there is any kind of hill, even little bumps. Also “out of range” where they are clearly in range both when I shot and when it should land.
Another wierd one is “blocked” when I know they are not blocking, but oddly notice that works both ways, sometimes I get a block when I am not actively blocking.
Annoying and obvious bugs.

AutoAim is even worse, and the players are overrushing everything, the game can’t keep up with fast controls and leet gaming.
Wasting a 3s worthless stealth on a whole weapon skill is just ridiculous.
Stealth with minimum of 5s has to be moved for additional effect on Point Blank Shot.
That is the only logical skill where we could really use Stealth on…
My biggest problems in WWW are with the foes who using auto-locking skills, like Hammer Warriors and most of thieves. We have no chance to keep distance in 1v1.
Oh… we spoke a lot about all of these problems. Yet there is no fix, and not even else than a CDI which seems to led nowhere on April’s “so kitten big” patch.
What I’m curious about is the chinese player’s reaction on Ranger…
As far as I know they like the class mutch (boahw & mylittlePhoney pokemonz), so this could be our last chance… What you guys think? =(

That is a terrible idea. Having stealth and point blank shot separate is exactly what makes the stun lock warriors so easy to kill. I would love for the stealth to be longer but not at the expense of raising the cool down. I can’t tell you how many times stealth has saved me.
The only real problem with it is what the op was complaining about, sometimes the skill doesn’t work, or it gets obstructed by a random blade of grass. They need to change it so you can stealth without hitting a target.

Seems many skills are delayed or going on full cd while not doing anything. In particular torch, dagger and axe skills are affected. Also getting a lot of obstructed with projectiles when there is nothing in LoS. Thoughts?
Hunter’s Call is the worst offender, at least with the new change. It used to be that you could cast WH#4. The skill would start out obstructed, but you could move into line of sight so the skill could deal damage. It worked fine on hills and in wooded areas, it just sucked when the enemy moved into a gate, or ran behind a wall.
Now the skill relies on a straight line, and if the first hit misses, the rest of the hits miss, and it seems like the slightest bump obstructs the skill (which can happen in 99% of the game where there is no flat ground). This is an example of Anet ‘fixing a bug’ and actually making the skill less functional.

I use Hunter’s Shot, then switch to Greatsword and use Hilt Bash then Maul, (or use swoop to get the heck out of there). Its not a 13K backstab or anything, but 9K damage works for me.
@ Jim: Terrible?! Stun-lock warriros so easy to kill? Oh forget me, you’re playing on T3+ for sure…
The REALITY:
- Now you can Stealth up to get some time or better position for a """burst""". PBShot rarely but can interrupt (oh, they negate 2 interrupts by basic…), and there you go…die.
- “Good” Stun warriors get you stunned every 5 sec, so your stunbreakers aren’t really helpful. Entangle as only lockdown on field? +2 second. All is it about how long it takes a warrior to kill you. I can kill those guys sometimes, but just when they’re really don’t play it well. Otherwise, their endure pain and healing signet negates my damage, which is high amongst other rangers.
What would be okay?
- PBShot the guy back and get stealth. He’s interrupted, knocked back and disoriented. There is your opportunity to strike!
- Hunter’s Shot turns into Mercy Shot or something similar useable. Immobilise, for example…
But it is sure that a not-really working and very short stealth on a whole weapon skill isn’t fair at all.

I love how people equate higher tiers with better skill. The only thing being in a higher tier means is you have more numbers, which also means less small scale fighting.
There is no reason you should ever get locked down by a hammer war in a 1v1 fight. The only time they are dangerous is when you’ve blown your cool downs fighting other people or if you made the poor decision of fighting them in a tight spot where you can’t kite and evade without falling off a cliff. Even then you can usually stealth, position yourself and knock them off the cliff.

I’m on T1 and when i’m running an actual damage build I can agree with this 100%, Stunlock warriors are free bags, they like to think they aren’t, but the amount of soft CC paired with the kittenbaggery that is PBS on a 12s CD makes them nothing more than roaming bags.
@OP: Yeah, i’ve noticed that a lot of my LB abilities (mostly #3 and #4) will just go on that stupid 3s CD for absolutely no reason, even if they’re infront of me. Didn’t happen too much pre patch but i’ve been noticing it A LOT lately…
