stats seem good to me
what u guys think. with guard and sic em i csn maintain perma regen and it had a good crit chance and power. Im tired of condition builds so was thinking of trying this. tear it apart

You will do well against melee/physical damage builds – Like a Thief

Ranged and condition builds will tear you apart – Like a Engi

If I was fighting this build with a condition build like a necro/engi I would simply apply poison to negate your regen and kite you to death – you can’t cleanse anything and your gap closers would be rendered useless by applying cripple/chill

Nature’s Bounty is unnecessary in this build I would take something else you have perma regen with just shout master + guard

Torch in a power build? I would look at maybe the horn or axe
I would also take the points out of skirmishing and go into Wilderness for empathetic bond to clear some condis
Finally I would add the Longbow instead of one of the sets I feel like you need range but if you get more condi removal than your gap closers will be effective

You mean Generosity

Those are pretty expensive and simply remove 1 condition on weapon swap which is every 9 seconds

Considering an Engi can put 3 conditions on you with the press of one button you can see that Generosity is simply a supplement against conditions not a solution

Keep this in mind: What is your goal with this build and where are you going to use it?

If you are going to roam solo you will get rekt there are a ton of condition builds out there that will expose you if you are alone including Perplexity Thief/Engi/Necro/Mes

If you are going to roam in a group than it can work as long as you have good teammates to heal and cleanse condis for you like guardians

If you are going to stick to large scale zerging than it is fine as you should be surrounded by many guardians and elementalists cleansing and healing

ok ill change some gear around and move those points around for empathatic bond. I like axe 5 not crazy about 4 but ill give axe a go instead of torch. i like jumping thru the fire field is all lol. Thanks a lot. Will be solo a lot roaming and sometimes with an ele.

Traveler runes are not that good on ranger considering that the pet doesnt get benefit from the bonus, if you want perma regen dwayna runes are better and free you from 2 utility slots and 4 traits that you can invest in emphatic bond.

Also torch seems pretty usless in a power build, it’s better axe that has a pull and retaliation. And try using a pet like dog/spiders with immob abilities, will help you land maul better.

Yeah much better you should have success with this

Signet of Stone is good but another stunbreaker like Lightning Reflexes might be better since your only stun breaker is also your only active condition cleanse which you should ideally save for a condi bomb

Sweet I have been doing a version of this in spvp with decent success. I figured i could get better stats in wvw since you can mix and match armor and food buffs. My ranger is only level 44 so i wanted a goal build to work towards for when Im 80 since wvw is my main objective. Thanks a lot guys for your help

I have to test that but i think the animation of the skill cuts it to close to gain perma regen. Have u tried this ? If it works it would be cool to have the protection

If you don’t take Nature’s Bounty, you’d have to spam “Guard” off cooldown in order to get perma regen. You have enough protection from dodging regardless so Nature’s Protection isn’t really need in this case with such a tanky build.

If you take Nature’s Bounty, it gives you a little bit of time in between using “Guard” when it comes off cooldown and fighting, so you won’t feel as rushed during a fight.

Honestly, the weakest WvW regen build ive seen. There is too many openings. Like the fine ladies and gentlemen above me has pointed out, you got too many openings.

Compare your build to the one i run, while my build is also weak to conditions, it is far from as weak as yours. Granted, my build is BM based, not a mix of stuff.

My build is based upon boon uptime, i can maintain 12-15 stacks of might by just swapping weapons and pets when their off cooldown, i got mobility through permanent swiftness and sword + greatsword. I got good protection uptime, massive vigor uptime (near permanent), several evades and a block. I also use Alpine Wolf + Owl for the sole purpose of slowing down enemies so i can land my bigger/cumbersome hits (maul/hilt bash).

Lv 80 Guard, Ranger, Ele, Thief, warr, engi
Currently @ some T1 server in EU

What you posted is bad IMO. You’re investing traits to have perma regen but you have low healing power.

If you want full regen, go for Faux’s or Koroshi’s build (since they’re friends not sure who came with the idea first, but is pretty much the same thing with minor changes on runes and sigils).
