Ranger build for dungeons

I have had my ranger at level 80 for over a year now and he has just been sitting in Southsun cove up by the champ kraka mining the orichalcum, so I am looking for a build to pull him out of the mines and do something useful with him in dungeons possibly, this is what I came up with build please pick it apart and tell me what is wrong or what could be changed to make it better. Thank you for your time.

ps. on a side note is the call lightning from the storm spirit any good for damage or better to just scarp it?

I don’t think you need greatsword and sword/dagger. Swap one of them out for something like axe/horn to give some variety and a ranged option. You’re putting a lot of pressure on yourself to run full melee with zerker gear in dungeons.

The spirits will either be safe or dead depending upon the enemies. If you need traits for spirits to last longer then they will probably die regardless. I’d suggest using other utilities and then swapping the spirits in when the time is right (which might be often but you can’t rely on that).

First off, which weapon do you plan to use most of the time? If you’re using the sword, I would recommend using warhorn over dagger and picking up 15 in nature magic so that your pet can get some might stacks.

I normally use 30/25/0/15/0. Frost spirit and signet of stone usually stay on my bar. I’ve seen call lightning hit for ~6k on the active but I make better use of it in open world than in dungeons.

Greatsword still has a weak auto attack. I like the skills it has, but it sacrifices too much damage to be your main weapon. It’s a decent off weapon though.

Longbow could be an option as an off weapon. Use 3 to stealth, get a little distance, and let someone else get the aggro if you’re in trouble. Barrage and rapid fire do decent damage while you’re waiting for your weapon swap.

hmm alright thank you all for the feedback, I had another question though with the moment of clarity trait is using hilt bash followed by maul a pretty decent amount of damage or better to move those trait points elsewhere? is moment of clarity 150% extra damage on your next attack for you and your pet or just 50%?

It’s just 50% extra. If I remember correctly it doesn’t stack with traited signet of the hunt either.
