Hey, I’m new to Ranger
Trying to have fun with as many professions as possible and I’m really digging sPvP lately
Could anyone recommend a nice sPvP build to learn the Profession?
I tried regen ranger and really liked it, so if anyone could post some versions of that I’d like to try it

If you like regen ranger, try mixing in some spirits (Vigorous Spirits, Spirits Unbound and Nature’s Voice.) You won’t achieve the 100% regen uptime, but it’s like 98%.

Also if you haven’t already, regen ranger is good training wheels to learn the melee sets. Sword/Dagger and Greatsword are incredibly strong weapons for skirmishing in both WvW and PvP.

Sword/Dagger and Greatsword are not incredibly strong, they are just very viable mostly because it’s easy to escape with both.

I didn’t mean ‘power’ strong, I meant they are incredibly effective for fighting another player. They both have a lot of movement and defense built in to them.

As I’m trying to learn the profession from youtube, these forums and whatnot, I’ve came up with this build, currently giving it a shot. It’s not going that well, not sure it’s ’cause of my lack of experience or maybe ’cause the build sucks… Tell me what you think:

I’d swap the warhorn out for a torch or dagger, since you’re a condi ranger and you already have plenty of swiftness.

You might also want healing spring. A big benefit of HS is that it pulses Vigorous Renewal, which you are already using. That’s a group wide-vigor, regen, condi cleanse and water field = <3 crazy good.

Probly lose the sylvan hound since you heal way better than it does. I’d take a wolf and something else. Spider or cat or something.
