Few weeks ago I notice that the Ranger’s pet will not stop attacking unless told.
Even if both the Ranger and the pet on the other side of the map.

This is simlpy ridiculos. It doesnt make sense that your companion is chasing your enemy across the map, leaving you to fight by your own.

IBTFlame; I simply ask that the pets should have sth like 1200 radius centered on Ranger, which if the Ranger command the pet to attack an enemy, and the Ranger move further than 1200 range of the enemy then the pet will automatically recall by the side of the Ranger. Simple, right?

I really was shocked how Anet missed sth so obvious.
one of my /facepalm moment indeed.

So i can fire arrows farther than my pet can go? Actual range of pet is obvious too high (3000 if i recall correctly), but 1200 range is laughable…

This is one unique thing that rangers bring to the pvp table. They can be at one point while pressuring a player at another.

If you don’t like it just kite the pet around, which isn’t hard as they don’t react to sudden changes of direction very well, or focus the pet down. The ranger then has to either swap pet or let his pet die. Either way he can’t put his pet on you again without leaving his point.
