After the recent patch ive came up with a new build and it kinda works good.
I found out that its very usefull for teamfights. There ve been many times that i saved teammates and turned the tides of the fight.
What i bring on the table:
Safe stomps with quickness, stealth and many stability sources
Point control with pushbacks, pulls, knockdowns, aoe fear.
Aoe cond removal
Great dmg and burst on squishier classes
3 stun breaks

What it lacks
The huge dmg of a longbow power.
I would love some more cond removal.
Entragle.

Looks fun. Maybe run healing spring for more condi removal. I’d also consider swapping martial mastery for off hand training or wilderness survival, being able to pop PoS or QZ a little more often would make up for the damage you’re losing from longbow.

I once tried something VERY similar to your build.
There is one very clear problem, though.

Your build is Glassy. You die on sight (no Signet of Stone, neither Protect Me). And yet – you are effective only at melee range. If you intend to stay at long range – GlassBow is the way to go.

So you see, your build is designed for environment where YOU are practically in the highest disadvantage.
You are going to be ridiculously outshined by HamBow warriors. No discussion. While you may bring 3 more unreliable knockdowns and 1 pull, you won’t live long enough to apply them.

If a mesmer comes to contest you – you won’t survive even the 1st Mind Wreck. And you intend to use it for teamfight scenarios.
If you intend to duel with this build – it’s ridiculously binary. Enemy without Stability/Breakers will be at a disadvantage and enemies with those will roll you over a thousand times.

Next problem is the function of quickness while stomping. You may see, that your rangers stompanimation is faster, but it will not effect the real stomptime. I dont know, if it is a bug, but the stomp itself takes the same time, as it would be without quickness. The differents between stompanimation while using quickness and the stomp itself is about one second. So only the animation is faster. For example if you are interupted after the stompanimation, while the real stomptime is not over, your stomp can still fail. This happends against every player. For some reason, stompanimationtime and real stomptime (while using quickness) are only same against the npcs in the heart of the mist.

Bark skin my friend..

Against Condi-meta, my whoever you actually are to me =)
… Plus your Bark Skin activates at roughly 5450 hp … That’s 3 autoattacks instead of 2 from a Power Built class. You’ll be able to live for 2 seconds longer.

… So it procs at 5450 HP … Which means that if you are at 6K and you get hit for 5K – you’ll end up at 1K HP that will count into bark skin.
… I am not really sure in which way do you see that trait, but it definitely is not a life-saver.
