Am I the only one that didn’t notice any increase in range with this trait? I keep seeing people bring it up, but I tested it for like 30mins and never saw any increase in range

No Atherakhia, I didn’t see an increase in range either. I saw an accuracy increase at the furthest possible range we can hit, which I suppose gives the impression of an increased range, but I never noticed our arrows going over the effective ~1800 range they get with Eagle Eye.

No, you weren’t the only one, because there isn’t a range increase and I feel like anyone that used a longbow for any length of time would have noticed the same.

What jcbroe said, we can just reliably hit at max range so it probably seems like there’s a range increase because we’re all used to missing when we sit at 1100-1500 range.

There’s no increase in range.

It is very buggy though however. At max range every 5 shot would hit while the rest would say out of range.

And if a target is moving horizontally across your screen, your arrows are actually hitting where the target was before but it would still register as a hit. So it looks like the travel time is not in sync with the arrow’s animation.

Building on that, I honestly haven’t checked if it’s only with RtW traited or not, but have you guys noticed that the arrows (with RtW traited at least) shoot like, an arms length away from the bow? There is just a huge space in between where the arrow leaves the bow and where you first see it.

Maybe it’s only me though, so I want to make sure hahaha.

Noticed this as well. I think they just upped the numbers without touching the animation. On the patch release day, I was super confused when I used it on the first risen I saw at the Promenade. It took me a while to realize the damage occurred almost instantly.

This has been a bug for a long time. I think there’s a math error somewhere in the path leading algorithm. When the target moves in certain ways, the error causes its predicted location by the time your arrow reaches it to become unrealistically distant, and you get those spurious out of range messages. Unfortunately it usually happens in mass combat when the target is chasing someone else around, and is covered in spell animations so I haven’t been able to see exactly what it’s doing that causes it.

Only range increase I saw is still achievable (IE jump after you start firing to get an extra few units), but w/e range change everyone seems to thing there was, yeah never saw that…. Ever.

Perhaps it was there all along but I never noticed this before.

I came across that when I was shooting at the stationary golems at HoM so it’s probably not what you were referring to above.

The window is really small. I had to put my character into walk mode and inch forward a pixel at a time to get that to happen.

Yeah I noticed that. It seems to be related to the animation of the arrow as you kind of see the same problem when you use rapid fire even without RtW, only to a lesser extent. But that gap is really apparently when the arrows are sped up to RtW lvl since the initial trail of the projectile disappears all together.
