this is from a wvw roaming perspective. with the upcomming new GM trait ( Nature Magic: Survival of the fittest – Remove two conditions and gain fury when using a survival skill. ) will ranger have the most potent condition remove ingame? i remember all the whining about warrior not being sustain enouth and anet boosted the class a little to much. will this new buff for the ranger have the same impact like the warrior buff?
here is some theorie craft for a solo roaming build
Trait: keen edge 2 conditions every 45 ( 36 ) sec // 4 conditions /min
Trait: empathic bound 3 conditions every 10 sec // 18 conditions /min
(switch for bark skin again burst classes, 50% dmg reduce will activte with 7500 hp left YOLO )
Trait: evasive purity 2 conditions ( poison + blind ) every 10 sec // 10 conditions/min
Skill: sharpening stone 2 conditions every 45 ( 36 ) sec // 4 conditions /min
Skill: muddy terrain 2 conditions every 25 ( 20 ) sec // 6 conditions /min
Skill: lightning reflexes 2 conditions + stunnbreak + 1 condition ( immobilize ) every 40 ( 32 ) sec // 8 conditions /min
Elite: entangle 2 conditions every 150 ( 120 ) sec // 1condition /min
Pet: brownbear 2 conditions every 25 sec // 4 conditions /min
condition remove / min = 55
+ healing spring 6 conditions every 25seconds // 12 conditions /min
condition remove / min = 69
on top a high boon uptime: might 6-9, protection, vigour, fury
nearlly permanent chill, bleed, burning and poison + dd with pet ( hope they are able to hit properly and respond fast enouth ) and 1400 power with buffs
massive CC with chill, muddy terrain, entangle
stunnbreaker with keen edge ( when proc times well ) , sharpening stone and lightning reflexes
vigour + weapon evades on both weapon sets to avoid burst
condition dmg more then 2300 with might stacks and wvw buff
30.000 hp with wvw buff
i hope they need another 9 month for the next balance patch, this will be fun

69 condi/min, can someone possibly apply to you that many conditions ?
Btw why not signet of renewal instead of the utility sharpening stone? against condi bomb necro it’s pretty cool (all condition every 60 seconds + stun breaker against 2 condition ever 36s)

i take the extra conditions. – and yes, it is too much condition remove, but fights 1on1 in wvw roaming are rare. i always face multiple enemies. the build just shows how OP the new condition remove of the ranger can be
Again, I remind that “Soft Fall” WK adept trait triggers Muddy Terrain on falling damage and has barely (if any) cd.
But tbh – do you really need that much condi removal ?
And as for the strongest condition removal in-game I’d say some weird S/D+St WoP, Plague Signet, Shrouded Removal, Consume Conditions Necromancer.

Do you see the kind of (absence of) damage you will be dealing?
Most attacks would hardly out DPS war’s healing signet… and some (keen edge) demands lower health to work…
That’s a funny build, but I hardly see anyone running with all these condis removals (many being so situational that they would harldy work, some not being real condis removal (stun break) and most not being launched as soon as they are off CD (Lightening reflex).
10/0/30/30/0 ftw Will be quite strong.
Slotting in emphatic bond would be overkill with that build though, unless you face a necro or condi engi.
Personally, I will try out the new poison GM or bark skin. Might be good with “Sotf”? We will see in 2 weeks.

I don’t like evasive purity, way too situational. I hope they are gonna put a trait into master which is worth using…
