Been looking around on the internet and there doesn’t seem to be a consensus like the warrior signet build.

Does anybody know a good ranger build for leveling?

literally anything.

just run a bear, and another pet of your choice. use troll ungent, and signet to help with tanking.

Flame trap goes from good to amazing against enemies that don’t bother to avoid AoEs.

Im lvl 35 not a pro but… I’m using LB which isn’t efficient but I like the style. I split traits in power and beast mastery. Power is a must else you feel like a wimp the entire time. Since I have to be 40 to continue traits I’m going for the one that gives regen at %75 health for now to use up points. I use utilities for passive abilities since cool downs arent my thing. So health regen for pet, toughness, and whatever for third one. The dog and white moa are my pets. Moa is backup since it can heal so if dog dies I will need it cause its a tough battle or group events. Use healing spell that goes for 10 seconds.

The thing is though your not going to find your style without experimenting a bit. Refund traits to try different builds. I haven’t touched any malee weapons yet nor plan to but reading on here there seems to be alot of fun going that route.

Also, invest at least 10 points into beastmastery. Really helps your pet survive, and with a bear you can let it tank pretty strong monsters.

Any build can work, but some are more efficient than others. Shortbow with piercing shots is one of the most efficient leveling tools we have. Line the enemies up, target the last one in the line, take em down. I offhand a greatsword for close range aoe damage and tankyness. Fire trap to apply burning/aoe damage. QZ for more damage.

Currently I have 10 points in marksmanship with steady focus. I have another 10 in beast mastery with speed training.

Just switched from long bow to short bow. Typically I use whatever bow I find with the better stats. My secondary weapon is a 2h sword, though I rarely switch weapons.

For skills I have troll ungent, lightning reflex, quickening zephyr, signet of the hunt, and rampage as one.

I had a Brown Bear for condition removal and a Sylvan Hound for a small heal (later replaced by a Hyena for more dps). Power> Precision> Condition Damage> else.
