I’m thinking of either Howler or Incinerator as a Legendary, which would ppl reccomend?

I finished Howler for my ranger a few days ago. Mainly a PvE players, and enjoying it a lot with Sword/WH builds. I used to have Twilight as well, but i moved it to my warrior since ranger GS is mediocre. I personally don’t see the point of incinerator on a ranger though.

Personally I’m going for The Dreamer, Rodgort and Kudzu, in that order. I feel like I should go for Bolt too to complete the set, but I don’t like it and I stopped using the Fiery Dragon Sword because I felt like the effect was excessive. So I’ll need to find another sword.

Of the two you’re considering I’d go for the Howler personally because I think it looks best.

But probably the sensible choice is to make the one you’re going to use the most.

I went for Frostfang, and I’m the happiest ranger you can imagine.
Actually, I even think in make a 2nd Frostfang and use it in both hands, imagine how awesome it would be?

Pfft why stop at one legendary?

i´m working on bolt !

gs is nice but have not much uses and bow, suck at pve and for zerg so no use for me only shortbow for some roaming builds

Ranger was my main…then I created other characters and crafted legendaries for them :|

My personal opinion: Wait for the new set of legendaries and hope that they have a better longbow

However, if you play ranger and ONLY ranger and that is all you do then get the warhorn and/or axe!

the biggest question you should ask yourself, more pve or wvw and when wvw roaming or zerging and than you should decide !

I got Bolt – Howler – Eternity in that order. Bolt still is my favorite

Yeah personally i dont think any of the legendaries suit ranger too well (besides maybe the horn for a norn lol). Though people like different looks for their characters so each to his own.

Hopefully like mentioned the new set of legendaries can or will be more suitable for you.

As an owner of Howler I can say that it is a great Legendary for Rangers. I don’t really like torches. My next one is currently scheduled to be Bolt. Perhaps a short bow if they every put in one I can stand looking at.

Rangers that don’t care for their own profession type weapon. Says a lot. I have Kudzu. I’m happy with it. Might work on getting a sword and dagger ensemble in legendary, but I’m not going to kill myself over it. A few rangers went for Dreamer, but only because they enjoyed shooting the enemy with flying unicorns.

I would suggest making Howler. Horn is used for berserker dungeon builds, can be used to great effect with trap, spirit or bleed burst builds as well. Its a sure win.

Either that, or if u can afford it make the sword Bolt.

Frenzy and Kamohoali’i Kotaki because reasons. I’ve had the former for over a year and the latter for almost that. I regret nothing. I made Howler as my 3rd but wasn’t too keen on warhorn at the time so I sold it. If you’re a Sylvari, as I am, I can’t recommend Kudzu enough — it just makes sense.

I have Dreamer, Frenzy, Bolt, Howler. I don’t like Kudzu at all, so that’s a no no for me.

Build Eternity, its 15.4% longer than one from a Warr or Guard!!!

Howler looks like only imaginable idea since other so called “legendaries” either look like a picture made by korean kid or are just laughable. Aside from Predator and Underwater legendaries, which are actually pretty cool

Well i have a kudzu which i think is a kool legendary if your sylvari, personally i dont feel it fits any other race ast well.

To kinda answer your question your two preferences, id tend to agree with everyone else that the warhorn can be used in so many different builds and also kind fits into the ranger theme. I love the dagger too but dont seem to use that offhand that much and feel its better put on a thief, ele and Nec. where the effects would be noticable =].

For reference, I have Bolt, Howler, Eternity, Dreamer on mine…never use Dreamer anymore after lb got buff and is overall better dps now.

If you’re talking about viable builds, every weapon gets used more than ranger longbow.
