we have scrappers stomp and rez enemies with their gyros.
pets can already rez people with use of a skill all though the range is nerfed (i hope they balance it 900 range someday)
anyway why can’t pet stomp enemies with a certain cd ???

They could add a pet finisher to “Sic ’em”. Maybe nerf the pet damage/speed buff bonus from it to balance it.

It would be better off on search and rescue since the skill was nerfed into the ground. Give it 900 range, rename it to something like “fetch”, and give it a 30 second cooldown.
I doubt this would ever happen despite it having some logic behind it. Also search and rescue is far from being nerfed into the ground as it’s still a teleport on a downed body double rezzing speed+1 and if using druid you can provide your own stealth with celestial shadow and not leave behind that obnoxious gyro that says place damage here.
The main differences between a scrappers gryo and SnR is that scrapper doesn’t have to slot it as a utility, SnR has a longer cd and gryo can stomp. The game really doesn’t need anymore options towards stomping and rezzing if there is something that should be looked at for changes its scrapper function gyros cd 30 secs is far to short for something that has such power.
I can imagine this for a future elite spec (Bunny Thumper???), but otherwise, it is too special to be on core-Ranger.
Gyro dies much easier than a pet and a cc doesn’t leave the gyro enough time to try and stomp again.

I WANT A BUNNY THUMPER!!!!! Maybe make it where it could take the place of the F2 skill when near a downed enemy? When you use it it puts your F2 skill cool down and maybe add 5 seconds or so to it?
Gyro may not take up a utility slot but I am more or less responding to the ability for a pet to stomp without utility.
What if the pet also holdes/roams without range limit and so ranger doesnt need to play at all?
I don’t see ranger getting such a skill nor is there a need. When it comes to downstate ranger is already extremely powerful on all fronts – stomping, fighting when downed and rezzing. Today alone i discovered new ways to stomp my opponents hard and reliable on my condi ranger without the use of stab at all! So i say no need for such a skill.

What are these secrets of stomp? SPILL YOUR GUTS.
“go for the eyes trait” for one. Just save your pet skill for where they’re downed and blind their critical interrupt with f2. Add “beastly warden” and you’ll also taunt most would be ressers while there, preventing a ress before you impale them.
There’s also the good old stealth stomp with longbow #3 or blast/leap on smokescale field.
Elecric wyvern f2 launches even downed foes and is instant cast. Not sure blind will get the job done? brutalize them with wyvern’s f2. By they time they pick themselves up you’ll be done sticking it to them.
Or in some cases just stand behind pet and have it eat the cc (for engies and warrs at least) while you stomp.
If you’re condi and enemy’s squishy (thieves for one) you can just forget stomping and fry them up till their done with your torch.
Entangling /ancient seeding your foes inches away from the reach of ressing their downed comrade is always fun:3 Though with current guard “Lego wished it could make blocks like mine” meta it might be hard to pull off.
So yeah, there are tons of evil fun to be had with your ranger and downed foes;)
And hell if fancy approach doesnt work there’s the good old stab+signet of stone+soon to be deceased enemy to lighten your mood:)

@Lahmia… love how some of you want to keep nerfing our crappy pets that suck against moving targets and f2 skills that can easily be dodged.
@JH… I like the sound of “seek and destroy” for a stomp skill better. I could only imagine the forum uproar if that happened lol

Every 30 secs is pretty much at will. In every fight, on any point, that will be available to the engi. That’s too much.

I’d be happy if they just added a stomp to Sic Em without nerfing anything. It’s already my favourite Ranger skill. But all too often you see people suggesting ideas to change skills without any regard for how balanced it is.
I think the whole downed system is unbalanced and broken.
Any remote stomp should be removed completely.
No class stomp should have any advantage over another .Whether by stealth ,quickness ,stability.All buffs should become inactive during the stomp.
No downed skill on any class should have any stomp delay advantage ,healing advantage or movement advantage.
