I know there are one trillion topics on that subject already, but I have to ask: do the devs even test the specs before releasing them or do they solely rely on player and Roy feedback?

Don’t get me wrong I loved druid in the BWE3 and I was hoping for changes like adding damaging conditions to staff/CA, but instead we got a weak, short and gated CA form…

Why? It wasn’t even that strong before, now it’s just -> ??

Please Irenio, I love the concept of the class and most of the abilities etc., but you have to admit that this it is really weak (atm)

I’m wondering if it was a lazy way to bring truth to the claim that Druid is for spike healing whereas Revenants are for sustained healing. It sure is NOW, with 10% uptime on any of the worthwhile heals available.

I’m not gonna jump on the doomsayer wagon just yet, because I’m naive and feel that they’ll bring it much closer to what it was at beta, but for now, I absolutely encourage continuing to complain about it so that it’s nice and clear. X)

The class is always greener on the other side.

I don’t know. Its really bummed me out. Don’t know if I’m even gonna keep playing. I only have really played Ranger for the last year and I was pretty stoked for the Druid after BWE3.

Disappointed barely even describes it. I just can’t believe there is not even a single dev post/info about any of the changes. I just don’t get it.

I think a large part of the CA issue, honestly, is simply the fact that the entire game, from the get-go, has been built around the idea of NEVER HAVING a dedicated, powerful, healer class, capable of keeping a party’s health topped off on his own. PvP, PvE, the individual classes, etc. are all built around the assumption that each individual player should have multiple ways of sustaining themselves and avoiding/mitigating/recovering from damage on their own, as well as a few ways of helping their allies to do the same. In an environment where party-wide healing previously had to be a coordinated party-wide effort (blasting fields and so on), offering one class frequent access to aoe healing that can keep everyone alive through even difficult boss fights is almost certain to break many parts of the game — or else it will be entirely unnecessary for any skilled group.

Hence, the concept of Druid, while potentially really awesome and fun, seems extremely difficult to balance in the current state of the game. Further, if it is balanced around group content, it becomes almost useless in solo situations; if balanced around solo play, it becomes entirely overpowered in groups. I love the concept of the class, and it can be really fun to play — but I question the wisdom of introducing it into this particular game.

This is why it is important to have more than 1 beta… I hope ANET is still listening to the community. The attention we are getting post launch is very minimal (excluding the knee jerk nerf attention if you count those).

I think druid is pretty strong atm. I can tank the chieftan all day with just my autoattack… On a pvp match it takes like 2-3 ppl to take me down.
