Seriously…nothing but nerfs and no fixes or buffs.

As i mentioned already.. Nerfnant. Im sorry but that energy cost on top of being locked by 5cd is too much for me. Im done with revenant, hf for those that will continue to play him. Nothing fixed, many unviable skills, sword is a joke in 1vX. Srsly why bother?
I was looking forward to this patch but after seening it.. im out. This change is beyond pathetic. Phase traversal+sword 3 = gg out of energy

I wonder what defenders of slapped cd will say now. It was like “i rather have short cd than high energy cost”.. well now you guys have both buhahahahahahahaah. Again hf and bb. Nerfnant will continue to get nerfed to the point where you will say “jalis/ventari are op” without any changes to them bc thats where it goes. There cant be a day without nerfnant nerf.

Also.. sword 2 still target invisible objects ingame. Good job.

Don’t you know, they only fix bugs that make Revenant worse. A bug fix that improves things may be misunderstood as a buff.

It’s better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

Everything still bugged as hell. And now Anet takes away the only skill which helps to sustain those 90% thief roamers in WvW. Well congrats. #thiefmeta
I really thought there might be something for Rev, not like all the other nerfs. But hey, lets get more. Lets nerf the only viable stance next to Glint. People dont play Jalis/Mallyx enough? Lets not push them, lets simply kitten up the others! Oh there was another stance … eh… uhm. Was named after some horses, Van…Vun…Ventari! Meh forget about it.
Seems like I have to enjoy getting steamrolled by 10 day old thieves which just kill you easily. And if I win, there will always be a condi scrub somewhere. The fights have sunken deep.

Anet does not know how to balance – they’re like children who rage in either direction… it’s all or nothing….

Instead of increasing the cooldown from 5s to 10s and raising the cost to 25… they GUTTED the combo effect of this skill to where it’s basically useless outside of using it just to auto attack when you get tot he target.

Not like it changes anything for Revenants – Shiro is still the best PvP legend due to stunbreak and you don’t have real alternatives. Not appealing.

Yep, indeed. Whatever i wont press i will be out of energy. So my choice is to autoatk, autoatk and autoatk some more. Oh i can always use somehting else but whatever i wont use in Shiro my energy will reach 0. Riposte 30 energy, PT 35 energy, Jade winds 50 energy, Impossible Odds 20 energy (10 activation, 10 before you can turn off). Amazing stuff. Pair that with staff energy cost for some good laugh.

If cd was at least removed from PT but nope. If PT worked properly and didnt fail to teleport most of the time.. but nope. If Shiro heal was any good.. nope. Shiro and rev are trash. Energy cost from weapon skills should be deleted. There is no such thing as managing energy, its more like autoatk your opponent to death.

Nerfs were great and needed. The reason Revs keep getting nerfed is they are still better then just about every other class even after the nerfs. People don’t want to hear it but your lucky your not a guardian or warrior.

I agree. The Precision Strike isn’t a nerf, just a fix (and not a very good one because the skill is still bugged). But the +75% PA energy cost increase is absurd: is the only skill that made Revenant viable against players that relly on poking at range, due the uselesness of the hammer as a weapon against players. They should either restore the energy cost, massively buff the hammer capabilities or provide a new ranged weapon (expansion) ASAP.

Okay, so they fixed bugs that hurt you guys. On the one hand yeah they needed fixed, on the other, they could not have fixed other bugs? I’m sorry you guys got the short end of the stick. trust me, us warriors have been there. Hope next patch helps you guys out

With so many high profile problems with the class in general, and to see only 2 changes; a bug fix and a heavy hefty increase to resource cost.

Abilities with Z-axis or other issues that result in less, or no damage on target or general mechanic failure:

  • Hammer 2 – The ground field that deals damage does not work on an incline or ledge
  • Hammer 3 – The damage occurs at the exact height of the player, and not the target, does not work on an incline or ledge
  • Hammer 4 – Targets at a higher angles above or below the player can get projectiles through the front
  • Mace 2 – Flame field does not consistently work on inclines, ramp bridges, etc
  • Mace 3 – The eruptions do not consistently trigger on inclines
  • Sword 2 – Targets non-existing environmental objects resulting in projectiles flying into walls and the ground
  • Sword 4 – Shackling Wave does not work on inclines
  • Sword 5 – Does not pull target when going up any incline even subtle ground hilly terrain
  • Axe 5 – Does not work on inclines
  • Chaotic Release (Glint Elite) – Does not work consistently on inclines, and has the largest visual CC callout in the game that most everyone can avoid it
  • Phase Traversal – This will get the player hung up on small ledges and even steps between the player and target where other class’ teleport abilities have no issue. In water, any object or even terrain that is blocking direct LOS gets the player hung up on that object and uses up the resource cost of the ability

Abilities with X/Y-axis issues that result in canceling the ability:

  • Sword 3 – If target is in a corner, up against a wall, or standing on a ledge… the ability will cancel. It requires all 3 hop points around the target to be unobstructed
  • Vengeful Hammers – Ability cancels if hammer projectiles hit an environmental object or wall

Not counting healing skills, that is 13 out of 42 weapon skills/utilities/elites that have issues so glaring that they simply do not work in many situations. That amounts to 1 in 4 abilities have no effect based on an incline or environment.

Where are the patch notes that say these have been fixed?

I don’t see what the state of guardians and warriors at any point has anything to do with the state of the revenant. Terribly balancing one class because another wasn’t handled well just causes more problems.

Just stop playing rev, i stopped once they nerfed the dodge skill as i realised theyre not going to fix anythign but continue to slowly nerf eevrything stage by stage ^^ play condi warrior or druid or condi mesmer like evryone els e:D our days of fun on a cool concept are over cos anet cant open their eyes

Im moving back to Warrrior which was my PVP main before Leagues began. But ive been messing around with both condi and power war.

I will also play Engie since i think its still pretty good.

This. Almost doubling energy cost in 1 go… doubling anything is never a good idea in game balancing.

downed state is bad for PVP

Does coni druid really work though? Ive been considering it, I just dont want to be stuck on healing.
