I’m a bit new to this, but I already have a power based Rev build I’m using though I want to make a support healer oriented one too. Anyone know what I should be focusing on for that support healer role? traits, specs, item stats, etc.?

I mainly play in WvW, with lately forced to do PvE to help out for some guilds I play with to get items to upgrade the guild hall with. So this support healer would need to be able to do both group WvW and group PvE support healing.

Thanks

I’m new myself, and this build hasn’t been extensively tested, but my guild that’s looked over it for me for a sPvP perspective thinks it’s a solid enough build. I haven’t had issues with it supporting out in open world PvE, and I was building this with WvW in mind initially.

Some things to note: The salvation line is pretty interchangeable, i swap between the middle and top rows of traits all the time depending on the situation. You are near useless in the water (turns out you can’t use Ventari underwater, lame). This isn’t a solo build by far, you can kill things in PvE but it will be mind numbingly slow, and if you get jumped in PvP you’re basically just trying to survive to have other team mates save you.

I would want to swap out the sigils of water for sigils of transference, but there’s no way I can afford them right now, and this is the best alternative I’ve come up with. For a more back lines playstyle you can swap out one of the weapon sets for hammer, and try to stay relatively safe in the back, just relying on your tablet. Most of the boons/debuffs you send out though are centered on where you’re standing so it’s better to be a front lines healer. This is mainly useful when you’re using Blinding Truths over Nourishing Roots, but I believe the Runes of Altruism are centered on your character as well.

Final note, moving the tablet counts as a healing spell, for the purposes of using the Runes of Altruism and Bolster Fortifications. Situationaly, with Facet of Nature up to extend outgoing boons, and conserving most of your energy for moving the tablet around you can keep Protection on teammates with 100% uptime.

Thanks I’ll try that next time I’m with the group that need a healer (was looking for Ele or Druid, but no one wanted to play either of them in healer role). At least now I know I can kinda help out in that role… just hate having to have two sets of gear to cover everything
